Quite an amasing piece of work . Wooden sculpture - very nice. Situated where it can be seen by everyone and particularly popular with children - lovely place available to sit beneath the sculpture to rest for a while and was popular among senior citizens when we were there. Very well carved and an interesting asset to the Square

Worth a visit

Such a delight to see all of these lovely’s feeding s close to hides. Beautiful setting and the younger lady in the cafe/shop was very helpful.

Amazing sculpture and interesting history behind it

I booked a random weekend in the first place I found on the internet, ended up in Llanwrtyd Wells. I took my dog for a walk and saw this amazing sculpture of a red kite in the town centre. Being a bit of an idiot, I didn't put 2 and 2 together, and it wasn't until the next day when I passed it in daylight and read the sign that it clicked as to why the sculpture was there.

The statue itself has very intricate detail and is very imposing, and just behind it are some benches to sit on and watch the wildlife on the river. Lovely setting, lovely statue :-)

This sculpture was excellent, the river was very low due to the lack of rain, you could see the trout in the shallows stunning, the people of the town very friendly and welcoming, would love to go back and spend a bit more time to explore the town

Wonderful life like kite attraction in the centre of Llanwrtyd Wells. Great spot by the river for this life like raptor. A must see visit.

Red Kite - rare again!

I have never been a lover of statues but this one has to be a rare exception. We came across it on a wet drizzly afternoon in August and it was so imposing and beautifully majestic. I loved it!

The sculpture is the highlight if a pleasant stroll around the "Town Centre"

The stroll takes about a half hour taking in the River walk which is very pleasant, we would have seen the statue better if the surrounding foliage was cut back a bit.

Right in the centre of town is this wonderful sculpture. We sat by it one evening eating our chips looking out over the river. Lovely !
