Paddleboarding, lakeside restaurant.

Stunning location, staff were knowledgable, helpful and fantastic. We took 6 kids and 8 adults paddle boarding. They kitted us all out, looked after us and made sure everyone felt very safe. Cafe is a lovely spot and the food drinks were a welcome addition. Blankets for those watching was an extra welcoming touch. Thanks again!

Lovely walk, cafe, lake.

A lovely walk and cafe with good dietary options.

There are boats, pedalos, paddle boards for hire on the lake - the staff were friendly.

We went as a family group of adults with one infant. Great day out.

Great place to paddle board.

We visited so that my teens could go stand up paddle boarding on the lake and were delighted to find that the lake itself and the cafe were a perfect spot to spend a couple of hours. Massive praise to the staff running the water sports activities, they were friendly and welcoming to all but were rigorous in their attention to detail regarding safety and keeping an eye on all those out on the lake be it on a dragon boat or a canoe as well as offering encouragement and guidance. The rental rates were also very reasonable. The cafe serves great coffee and fabulous ice cream.

An excellent family day out

This is a wonderful place for a family day out. There are plenty of activities to keep young children occupied, including a super, huge sandpit full of vehicles and buckets and spades . The playground is good with some more challenging apparatus for older children, and the easy walk around the lake is interesting and attractive. All these activities are free. There is a modest charge for the hire of pedalos, and the cafe serves a good range of foods with a children's menu.

Lovely café brilliant breakfast very reasonably priced ,polite staff would defo recommend to anybody . Outside seating , looked good and sturdy. Only slight downside was how hot it was as we was sitting along the window

An excellent family day out

This is a lovely place to visit with children. The huge sandpit just in front of the excellent café is amazing and full of vehicles, buckets and spades. It kept 3 lively grandsons entertained for hours. The 30 minute pedalo on the lake was good value; the playground was varied and suitable for small and older children, and we enjoyed the walk around the lake to see the ducks and swans. Service in the cafe was good, though this was February so it wasn't too busy, and there was a good menu for children and adults, all reasonably priced.

Lovely way to spend the afternoon

Me and my husband visited with our 3 children (6,4 and 2) and we all had fantastic afternoon. The walk around the lake was 1km so perfect for little legs, but are plenty of other walks off the lake. Lake seemed well maintained, toilets were clean but in need of an update. The path was flat so accesibke for pushchairs and wheelchair users. The cafe served lovely ice creams with a range of dairy free options available and the staff were friendly. Very lovely gesture of blankets being put out for people to borrow,, and option of feeding ducks at £1 for a large cup. The children's park nearby was also lovely. We had a great afternoon and would visit again

The lake

Really pleasant park to walk around watching the birds fly down when you feed them and the ducks and swans.
It has a lakeside cafe a little shop and in the summer months you can hire boats out
