Wonderful Lake, There is a coffee shop and restaurant that overlooks the lake. There are boats for hire and swans and Ducks that you can feed.

We stopped off here for lunch on our trip to Pembrokeshire. It was a beautiful day and the lake was in a beautiful setting. There was a cafe upstairs and a takeaway downstairs. Dogs are allowed on the outside terrace upstairs but not in the cafe. There are pods outside downstairs. Dragon boats can be hired on the lake.or you can walk around the lake. Plenty of seats. Free parking. Well worth a stop break on a nice day.

The weather was beautiful when we arrived which made the walk around the lake very pleasant, however that was the only highlight. Parking was free and we could park near the restaurant.
The Restaurant offered a good view of the Lake but the quality of the breakfast was disappointing for the cost. The incorrect eggs arrived with the breakfast but was replaced with scrambled as requested. Sadly I could not eat it. The egg was 'powdery and creamy' and didn't taste like it was made from fresh egg. The Sausage had a bleached appearance and was tasteless so I could not eat that either.
I chose not to have Hash brown on the small breakfast and asked if it could be replaced and was told 'no'. I was told items can be removed from the breakfast but not replaced with alternatives. That is the first I have ever known that to be the case at restaurants. My wife however did enjoy her poached egg.
We chose to walk around the outside of the restaurant and onto the decking overlooking the lake and the birds. Sadly the area is in need of weeding or weed killer (see image), all giving the impression of a site not cared for.
The toilets were not clean and chipped paint on the doors and pipes added to the feeling they were not well maintained (see image).
We chose to walk to the bird Hide to watch the birds. Sadly this was also poorly maintained and the majority of hatches were impossible to keep open as the arms were either missing or broken (see image).
At that point we gave up.
The site has potential but clearly lacks either investment of motivation.

Brilliant service from hard-working counter staff, ensuring customers were served in double-quick time. Plenty of areas to sit and eat, all with great views of the lake which itself features a 'swimming' dragon which acts as themeing for the dragon boat rides which are available from a separate kiosk.
A very pleasant 40/45 minutes spent with a decent cup of tea 👍🏼

You're on your way somewhere. You've already driven for several hours but still have several to go and the children are restless.....
This is the kind of place you need.
Plentiful free parking, snacks, ice cream, meals.....things to do, a play park, paddle boats, crazy golf......so much better (and cheaper) than stopping at a fast food chain. The children will thank you for it.
Bear in mind that it's a one way system so to park 'nearer' to the cafe it's the first road sign (before the roundabout) if driving north but the second road sign (after the roundabout) when driving south. The signs are only about half a mile apart but either will do.
This is the kind of place you need.

We spent the afternoon here. There is a fair bit to do. You can walk around the pretty lake, feed the ducks and we got a dragon boat out which was lovely. The dragon boat staff were excellent in kitting us all out with life jackets and adjusting them etc. There is a bouncy castle area for children too. The only downside it that the main restaurant has a low hygiene rating so we bought snacks from the lakeside shops instead.

it is the best place ever I would go there every day its amazing you can kayak and use cannons and paddle boards I love the café the food there is very nice

A great place for kids with dragon paddle boats as well as a nearby play park, putting green and crazy golf, plus loads of ducks, geese and swans to feed, a great shop selling ice cream and gifts and a cafe upstairs.

Stumbled upon this great park. Fantastic park with great facilities, the cafe is fantastic, lovely staff and great food.

Lovely lake with play area, restaurant and a shop. Recommend for a nice few hours. Kids loved feeding the ducks (sold for £1 in the shop)

Are there any toilets there currently open? I know the cafe is closed until 17th May but wondered if any separate toilets open this week?
