Awesome sight.
Feb 2021
An awesome sight to see, with a short trail to walk to it. Do not recommend driving to it in your own vehicle. Take the pink jeeps, are rent a jeep, or rent an atv. The road to it once you leave the pavement is horrible; don't take a car.

Must see!!
Jan 2021 • Teman
This was really cool to see! Hard trail to get to top (even in a Jeep) but go slow and it’s worth it. Once you get to the entry, you’ll need a Red Rock pass to get in (or you just pay at ranger station). It was a gorgeous, very easy hike and very cool drawings and ruins along trail! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy history!

Awesome, free site

We loved these ruins and the scenery. The drive was a bit rough at times (Cadillac SUV) but we made it--just drove slow and took in the scenery. Loved the video we made of the drive in and out and the hike. Beautiful area.

Amazing Ruins

RESPECT THE DWELLINGS! These cliff dwellings are about as remote as any we've seen. You'll drive north down a dirt road for about 10 miles on Forest Road 525 from Highway 89A in Sedona to the Honanki Trailhead. Most folks are uncomfortable driving their own vehicle on this road because it can be rocky and bumpy in spots, definitely dusty and dirty, and therefore, many take one of the local tour companies or rent an ATV/4-wheeler like we did. Part of the Coconino National Forest, they've contracted the care of this site to a local tour company. Which means, since we got there early, we were told several times by different people that we had to wait, as they were not open until 9:30 a.m., even though there were already tourists and visitors inside. The tour company, I guess, is allowed to do their own thing with tours since they "manage" the site and all the others have to wait until THEY say it's OK to go in, etc. Even though they were kind of rude, we waited for the allotted time and then went in for the 20 minute hike to the ruins. Very good trail and the ruins are nestled against a mountain wall. There are plenty of petroglyphs to view and even 100+ year old graffiti. It was very nice. There is NO admission, however, you will need an America the Beautiful Pass or a Red Rock Pass, which you can get practically anywhere in Sedona or at kiosks at many of these trails and sites. We came here since its sister site, Palatki was closed due to Covid (not sure what the difference could possibly have been!). Open everyday except Thanksgiving & Christmas. They do not allow pets to the cliff dwellings. There is a small, very small parking lot at the trail head, about 8 cars, otherwise, you'll be parking on the dirt road. Restrooms handy if needed at the trailhead. Beautiful place.

A beautiful insight into the Singua Indians history

A long gravel and dusty road to get there. Hike is only 3/4 mile to the ruins. Beautifully preserved. Nothing else like it.

Ancient Cliff Dwellings near Sedona
Feb 2020 • Pasangan
We booked the Ancient Ruins tour through Pink Jeep Tours rather than attempting it ourselves for two reasons, first to save the wear and tear on our car through the dusty gravel roads and since the tour guide/driver leads the tour, there is no need to set it up through the park service. This is the easiest, albeit more expensive way to visit this site. It is also a place I would highly recommend. The cliff dwelling one sees are hundreds of years old, mostly in ruins though some walls remain. Even the graffiti that has been scrawled on the site dates back over a hundred years. Of course now the site is protected and one can’t enter without a guide. The cliff dwellings and pictographs are amazing to see and well worth the trip.

These ruins were awesome to see. A definite “must see” while in Sedona.. The drive was fun, strongly recommend either a tour or renting an ATV. It’s more fun with an ATV..

The rangers are all volunteers very knowledgeable and informative. You can tell they like there job. The road to get here is a little ruff and dusty.
