My friends and I stopped by this very unique and friendly winery.

The wines are made from fruits and some are made with medicinal herbs.

We so enjoyed the wine tasting. I never had such interesting wines. Coming originally from New York, I must say Julie and Ray have a special niche with their winery.

They are very friendly and presented their wine with love.

My friends and I left with a total of 10 bottles. I enjoyed the Eldeberry, Ocotillo and Sultana the best.

If you like something out of the ordinary, then you must try this winery.

Yes, our wines are not the normal Grape Wines. We pride ourselves in using fruit that was going to waste. Yes, they are different and not for all people. We do have traditional wines as well. Yes, Cottonwood does have wonderful wines as well. Some people like to try different wines, and some don't. We are all different and not one winery can please everyone. Thank you for your honesty. We work hard at improving our wines. They don't just happen over night. Thanks again, Kindly, Julie

My girlfriends and I always do a quarterly 2-night stay somewhere, with the purpose of getting in some gorgeous hiking and checking out the local sights, offerings, and food.

We found this little gem while researching "What to do", and it did NOT disappoint. First of all, the location? GORGEOUS!! Located in the woods, this little winery specializes in organic wines that fuse raw honey, plants & flowers (like hibiscus, prickly pears), a variety of fruits (apples, grapefruit, raspberries, plums etc) with grapes. The tour was very fun; the wines are delicious and they have an added bonus of higher alcohol content while having a long refrigerated lifespan (if you are one of those rare people who can't finish an opened bottle).

Julie is one of the Vintners (winemakers) who made us feel like We were visiting family (the family we like, not the ones you dread to see once a year). The welcoming committee consisted of a VERY friendly, sweet Australian Cattle Dog named Calypso (and anytime there are dogs involved, I'm SOLD). Who promptly escorted us from the parking lot to the winery. As an added bonus, we got to see a herd of Elk with babies.

Make sure you make time to visit this small winery. We loved the tour, the wines, and the hospitality!!

This is a very-small, very-friendly "Mom and Pop" organic winery where the owners make small batches of unique wines such as Prickly Pear or Aloe along with other unique variations (such as organic raspberry hints) added to "normal" grape wines. The owners are wonderful people into healthy living - be sure to talk to them about the subject.
In spite of the wine types, these wines are not the syrupy-sweet that you might expect; they run from dry to slightly sweet. From the tasting, we picked out a few to take with us. The Prickly Pear was a dry white filled with a wonderful flavor that went wonderfully with our lunch on FR-300 (the Mogollon Rim Road), and later with dinner.

We called ahead because it was not a normal day for them to be open, but they were happy to accommodate us. There is a small fee for tasting. Sometimes they provide food, but it was not available for our special visit.

Does this rate 5 stars like the Grand Canyon? Obviously, no. However, we had a wonderful time and conversation. The wine we bought in the morning aided a wonderful ride and picnic in the afternoon.

Although we were not a huge fan of their wines, it was a fun stop. It was very interesting seeing how he utilizes the different flavors to create wine. We did end up purchasing a bottle of their Merlot, which was not on the menu. Most of the wine they had was really sweet, there were not many dry selections. They also have a small selection of canned goods that they make. I got some fermented lemons...that are great to cook with.

Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. That was very appreciated. Ray is working on creating a few new wines that will tend to be more on the dry side. That is his goal this year. Stay tuned, we have some wonderful grape wines currently in the making. Kindly, Julie

I found the winery while looking for things to do in Pine and it seemed worth the trip. The 4 of us descended on the winery after lunch and purchased tickets for 6 tastings each and there were about a dozen wines available for tasting. Each wine was unique and they had the background story for each one which made it fun to taste and compare to what we thought the wines would taste like.
There were tables outside and inside to enjoy the tasting and food was offered for purchase if so desired. The owner was outside on his kitchen setup preparing food for their evening program which made the whole area smell of bacon and pork. I was in heaven.
We ended up purchasing the M-5 wine which was made with 5 different melons.
They are moving soon to a better location and its definitely worth the time to look them up.

We are so glad you liked your visit to our tasting room. Ray and I love to share, and teach people about different ways to make wine. Our new location will enable us to share even more great things about our wonderful little town of Pine. Thanks! Julie

We spent a lengthy time with Ray (owner, winemaker). Quite entertaining, educational, and enjoyable. The wines are fantastic - left with 2 cases of a variety of wines. Big surprise was the canned goods! Whoa - better beets than Grandma canned and the kraut is brat heaven. We will definitely roadtrip again for wines, mead and canned specialties (pickles, beets and kraut)!

Based on website, we knew not to expect traditional wines. The staff was helpful and fun. The wines were interesting and there were a lot to choose from. They said they were dog friendly...they had indoor and outdoor seating.
