My husband and I have just returned from the most fantastic snorkelling experience. Paleng took us to two locations near Candidasa in his well maintained jukung on almost perfect seas. Everything was prepared for us including a delicious traditional morning tea/lunch, ice cold water and bread to feed the fish. Paleng was recommended to us and we weren't let down. Beautiful corals and thousands of fish. A real treat! Carolyn ❤️

Great communication, prompt service. Never felt rushed at snorkeling point, friendly, heaps of videos sent. Highly recommend

This was such a fun trip -we went fishing, we saw amazing Mahi Mahi jumping out of the water and tried line/ rod and trawling - Mr Paleng me us at our hotel and dropped us back. Excellent knowledge, knows what he's doing, drinks and snacks provided - Highly recommended. Note we are both 63 so great for any age.
I have booked to do snorkelling tomorrow - can't wait.

Bapak Paleng was quick to respond and gave us a set of snorkeling trips to take. He even organised a car for us to pick us up from our hotel in Ubud (additional cost) and he returned us back to our hotel.
There aren't any facilities so be prepared that you may need to use the toilets at a local Pertamina petrol stop (which aren't to great). Next time I'd suggest to the driver to find a restaurant nearby where you'll get dropped off. The drop of point is near Candidasa Lotus Lagoon so Vincent's would have been better.
Bapak Paleng greeted us at the drop off point and got us all kitted up (2 adults and our 2 children aged 13 and 17). Then it was a short trip (10 min in the boat) from the shore out to our first stop at Batu Maimpang. In hindsight we forgot to mention to Paleng that our daughter hadn't snorkeled before and she had a little trouble getting the right fit on her mask and we should have tested it out nearer to shore. It was a little choppy out on the reef and I even had a little trouble with water going down my snorkel. But with a few trips back to the boat and trying different equipment we found the right ones for us. There at Batu Maipang we saw some "Dory" (Regal Blue Tang) as well as "Gill" (Moorish Idol) amongst the coral.
Then we headed to Tanjung Jepun (about 30 min) and that's where the main event was! Bapak Paleng threw a bit of bread overboard and all of a sudden big schools of fish came up and snapped up the bait. When we went in he gave us little bait bottles that we could use underwater so that the fish were nearly eating out of our hands (with the protection of the bottles). We spent a good 90 minutes there after that we were pretty spent but very happy seeing so many different kinds of fish.
Bapak Paleng was always helpful, we had cold water, sofdrinks and snacks back in the boat. He always stayed with us and pointed us in the direction of interesting things to look out for.
Afterwards we headed back towards shore and even dropped us off at a restaurant where we could get changed and have a tasty lunch at Lezat Beach Restaurant and our driver was there waiting for us.
It was a fabulous day out for the 4 of us and we would definitely recommend planning a trip out with Bapak Paleng again.

We had a brilliant morning snorkeling with Paleng. It was definitely a highlight for our whole family, parents and two teenagers 13 and 17.
Paleng made all the arrangements for us, we got picked up from our hotel in Ubud, then drove down to Candidasa.
Paleng took us to two different snorkeling locations, both beautiful, but the second was the most special with the crystal clear water and so many fish, it was like swimming in one big huge aquarium.
Paleng really looked after us, we made sure the gear fit, and came snorkeling with us to make sure we got the best experience.
After the snorkeling Paleng was happy to drop us at a restaurant so we could have lunch before the drive back to Ubud.
Thankyou Paleng for a wonderful day, it was the perfect end to our Bali holiday.

Initially we wanted a driver for a couple of days around Candidasa and got in touch with Nyoman who I contacted via WhatsApp. I asked if it was also possible to find another driver for our entire 18 day trip around the whole of Bali and Nyoman organised for us to use his brother in law for the whole trip, Kumis. Kumis was an excellent driver, not a single scare, not a single delay, good English, always friendly and polite. We had sent our itinerary upfront and he was excellent at telling us what to add and what was not needed. Definitely recommend

Me and my family recently had the pleasure of traveling with a wonderful guide named Nyoman on a trip to Eastern Bali.
Nyoman is super friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible, taking us to some of the most beautiful natural wonders, including beaches, snorkeling, and waterfalls. He introduced us to some of the island's cultural highlights and cuisine, such as temples, towns and restaurants.
It was an unforgettable and highly enjoyable trip for us, thanks to Nyoman's expertise and great personality.

Thank you Nyoman and family for making our vacation so memorable! You were so kind and helpful! You took us to everything from waterfalls, rice fields, temple visits, snorkeling, market and beach days. Thank you so much again!

The best guide ever! very friendly, speaks excellent english, knows “everyone” so whatever we asked for he made a call and fixed👍We went snorkelling,fishing hiking and on temple tours with Paleng. Super easy to make arrangements with. We had so much fun together on our 10 days I Candidasa.
