Symbol of Divine love and affection. Unique piece of beautiful construction having glimpses of construction of Odisa (Jagannath Puri) and Gujrat (Somnath) with Rajasthani architecture.

Its the most beautiful structure inside the Chittaurgarh complex and well maintained. The Temple is dedicated to Meera Bai, A Rajput Princess, who was a devotee of Lord Krishna. Though she was married in the Royal family, she led a simple life and dedicated here entire life worshiping Lord Krishna whom she declared as her husband. Before entering the temple, she used to worship the Padukas of Sant Ravi Das, who was considered to be her Guru. The Padukas (Foot Prints) are build on the left side of the Temple. Meera Bai is considered to be a symbol of love, devotion and sacrifice.

This a large temple inside the Chittor Fort. As per the guide, it is a mixture of Dwarka temple & Konark temple. Don't have any proof of this. The curve & outer design is good.

A place within Kumbhaswamin Mandir complex of Chitoregarh fort..This temple is dedicated to Meerabai....
Originally dedicated to Varaha (boar incarnation of Vishnu) the temple was built in 8th century AD and largely renovated by Maharana Kumbha (AD 1433-68). It is built on a raised plinth and consists of a garbhagriha, an antarala, a mandapa, an ardhamandapa and an open pradakshinapath. An image of Varaha is shown in the principal niche on the back of the shrine. In front of the temple is an image of Garuda under a canopy. On the north, there is a small shrine known as Meera Mandir.
Chittorgarh is the place where Meera Bai was born who was a Rajput princess and is also being well known as a poetess and saint. The princess had given up her lavish lifestyle and dedicated her life in the worship of Lord Krishna. The Meera temple is constructed to be dedicated to her and is a very famous Hindu temple which is a must visit on your tour to Rajasthan. The splendid work of art on the temple attracts a large number of tourists. The temple reflects the Indo-Aryan style of architecture which was very famous in those times and is still a part of our cultural heritage. The Meera Bai temple and the Kumbha Shyam temple are both built on the same ground. On the outer side of the Meera Bai temple you will notice a carved statue of five human bodies with one head which symbolizes the fact that people of all castes and creed are the same and no differences exists among them. It is also of sign of tolerance. The temple has a beautiful statue of Lord Krishna and the Kumbha Shyam Temple has a black colored statue of God Garud. The temple organizes special functions on Meera Mahotsav when many devotees visit the shrine to offer their prayers. On the outer side of the temple there is a chhatri where the footprints of Raidas had been made who was the teacher of Meera Bai. The shrine has a spiritual ambiance and imparts peace in the minds of the visitors. It has both religious as well as historical relevance which makes it an important place of Chittorgarh.
During the rule of Rana Kumbha, the Meera Bai temple was built. He had constructed many other Hindu temples of which this one is the most eminent of all. Meera was a Rajput princess who was madly in love with Lord Krishna and had committed her whole life to Lord Krishna. This shrine had been mainly built so that Meera could worship Lord Krishna in Chittorgarh.

The Meera Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Krishna and associated with the Hindu saint and poet Mirabai. It’s said that she survived a poisoning attempt because she was blessed by Krishan for her devotion. The temple is said to be the one where Meera worshipped and compose poetry to Krishna. The temple is largely built in an early North Indian style, but also seems to have Indo-Islamic domes over the portico. There’s two idols inside the sanctum which I represent Krishna blessing Meera.

The temple will no doubt be of interest to devotees, but purely from an aesthetic point of view, it’s only okay.
