This is a Hindu temple located in the same "Vijay Stambha complex" on the northern bank of Gaumukh Kund reservoir and dedicated to Lord Shiva.Evidence suggests this temple was constructed in the 11th century and restored during the 13th and 15th centuries. Temple ruins destroyed by invaders can be seen on the ground in front of the temple.

An ancient Hindu Temple where you can see three faces of Lord Shiva depicting Truth (Satya), Splendor (Royalty) and Anger (Krodh / Tam). Regular Aarti and prayers are conducted at this Temple by the Priest. Photography is allowed. The surroundings of the Temple have several artifacts which have been gathered from ruins are being preserved for restoration. There is a very old electro-mechanical devise inside this temple which produces background instrumental music during Aarti. It was fascinating to watch it in working condition.

The Samadhishvara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. The name of the temple comes from Samadhishvara, which means "Lord of Samadhi". That being another name for Shiva. The temple design is a mixed bag of different styles, which is unsurprising since this has been an active temple since the 11th century. The exterior of the temple has a very distinct bands of relief on different levels. The lower levels contains half relief sculptures of elephants, followed by relief of cavalry, then dancing sati and civic processions, as move you move up the levels.
The roof of the temple is a conical pyramid, with many smaller conical pyramids surround the main one, that gives the impression of a single pyramid when far off enough. An interesting mix of architectural styles.

We had visited this beautiful Samadhisvara Temple located inside Chittorgarh fort during our vacation in Udaipur. This temple is located at a place which originally was the cremation area of the royal family living inside the fort. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva but there is no Shiva lingam inside the temple but instead there is a unique 3 headed idol of Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh. We liked the beautiful intricate sculptures on the walls, pillars and dome of the temple.

This 11th century temple is the oldest amongst the temples built in this historic fort , but the craftsmanship still shines through the stories carved in stone. This temple was originally built by Raja Bhoja of Parmara dynasty in early 11th century near the sacred Gaumukh kund , & later was extensively renovated by Maharana Mokal in 1428 , therefore known as Mokaljis temple. The temple has a pyramidal roof typical of Jain Architecture . The base of the temple is in the form of an inverted lotus. The sanctum sanctorum houses a huge 9 ft idol of Trimurti - Brahma - the creator , Vishnu - the preserver , Mahesh - the destroyer . There is a big nandi statue in the west . In the south a long staircase leads to the Gaumukh kund. The walls of the temple & the pillars are richly decorated with remarkable sculptures & inscriptions of that period.
