“You can't miss La Nave Imaginaria!”

When I asked my friend in Santiago what to do on a day trip to Isla Negra, his first answer was to go experience La Nave Imaginaria. And I am so glad we did! We were supposed to have a reservation (send an email to naveimaginaria [at] gmail.com) but we didn't. So at first I was concerned we would miss it. But the captain of the ship welcomed us in and showed us the time of our lives! Can't describe it, it's an experience you just have to do yourself. Be ready for an imaginative, interactive, funny, touching experience. I won't soon forget it. Thank you El Capitain!

Me and my family visited this ship today and we had a great time.. my little kid (3 years old) enjoyed this experience as well as my oldest kid (15 years old). Thank you Capitan!!

An amazing trip

We came today to the imaginary ship not knowing much about it, but the whole experience was beyond expectations. We had so much fun and the Captain is an awesome host. We totally recommend it and if you are keen for an adventure you won’t be disappointed with this ship. Thanks Captain

Fun trip but definitely on the whacky side!

This was a totally unexpected surprise. We went to just take photographs without realising that you could go inside. It was a very whacky experience, but so much fun. You have to embrace the quirkiness of it and enjoy it as well as admiring what the owner has been able to build. It was really quite magical. It's technically free, you just have to give him a tip depending on what you think it's worth.

A Poetic Boat Experience!

Pablo Naruda would have loved this ship, for you go to sea without leaving land. The captain tells you stories as you climb through his fantastic barque and his adorable children scramble about. Look up at the blue sky through the sails and mast and you are truly in a wonderful place. Perfect for all ages.

Just go and hopefully, you will be able to have a great time over there. We didn't know the boat could be visited and it just happened while we were taking photos of it from outside ! "Hey where are you from ? France ? Ok ...." Thanks for this great moment !

Kids bored with the Pablo Neruda museum? Come take this boat for a ride!

So, this is perhaps the wackiest tour you'll take with your kids, but the proprietor (I mean, Pirate Captain) is the most hilarious guy you'll meet. He's built this giant fantastic ship / playhouse in the middle of a suburban neighbourhood (much to the chagrin of his neighbours, who cause him problems...) and he performs a magical, fantastic epic for your kids. I visited here with my 7 year old and 14 year old (English speakers, first time in Chile) so we were doing broken English translations for them. My oldest says "This ship is not meant for fat people!" (which it isn't. There are physical activities if you come on this little tour.) My youngest said "I loved the colours"! Basically, come here with your kids, have a fun tour with a friendly pirate captain who is very personable and perfect with his interactions with kids, and be prepared to release your inhibitions. Be warned - this is very much an 'artesenal' attraction, so be prepared that you are being welcomed into someone's quirky home. Just roll with it. The pirate captain doesn't charge a fee, nor does he hold you for ransom, but a generous tip would be appreciated at the end of your magical experience.

With the kids in Isla Negra...what to do?

Don´t leave Isla Negra without visiting the Imaginary Ship....be captivated by the captain, locked in the hold of the ship and become a pirate!!..Fun for young and old, ...Situated at Avenida Central, 100 meters from the main road that passes through isla Negra...(fb page Nave Imaginaria) There is no admission to be payed, a good tip will do....Go!!

The great place to imaginate

La Nave imaginaria is a place that show us that is possible to live a dreams. It is a great structure but when you are inside you will can see that is so much, it is something that touch your child so deep in you. Born maybe ten years ago like a space for the dreams and cultures manifestation since that La nave imaginaria fight in the sea of ignorance of the local authorities that push for one neighbor try to close that initiative because they don’t know how legitimate this wonderful idea. For while, so many people from Chile and different countries and activities enjoy this creation of Capitan Rodrigo Parra.
