It's very important part of Chinese history. Must see military school with lots authentic historic pieces. Many original photographs will take true history of great war. And how this military school contributed during this period of struggle.

It revolves around the events related to the military school and the important people that takes part in the history of China. P.s. most of the display and description are in Mandarin..

Free entrance - a fine place if you want to laze around looking and learning a bit of the past military history. Really nothing much to see. The big field had uneven patches of grass.

I would not rate 5stars in other cities maybe but in Kunming it is one of the rare older sights. It´s upgrades the whole area around the Green Lake. Of cause it is just buildings like another viewer wrote but for people who like historical sites they will like it. The museum inside is nothing special but still worth to see.

The Military School and museum in Kunming is a really great day out. Its located near Green Lake so a great way to see these 2 major attractions on the same day. the old barracks have been beautifully restored and the museum is a great few hours of looking at everything from the past and the displays are great and very interesting. Theres no charge for this attraction and its great for families and adults alike.

This is a great place to learn about recent Chinese military history. There is a post office inside where you can get your stamp that you have been to this place! Budget 1.5 hours, there are multiple buildings and it does take some time to look through them all.

We stopped by for a few minutes so we could say we did. It was okay but really all there was to see was two guards and some yellow buildings. Don't go out of your way for this.

This site is well described in English as well as Chinese. Gives a great explanation of military development and importance of Kunming as a military centre. I wish there had been a bit more on the importance of Kunming as the retreat capital in WW2, though suspect some of this has been airbrushed.
