Cute Little Shrine

I spent time on mainland, shrines where everywhere up there. Now I live close to the Awase Shrine and it's nice to have here, reminds me of mainland. The shrine is very nicely decorated and pretty large. I strolled past here the day after New Years and it was packed! Normally, there is hardly anyone here. There are some friendly kitties here as well. I don't know much about the Shrine, but it's worth visiting.

Great shrine with easy access

This shrine is very close to where I live, and it is a popular shrine to visit among women who are pregnant, expecting kids, or wish to have kids. New Year's celebration here is a fanfare, and the easy access (plenty of street parking) makes this shrine worth a visit.

The actual shrine itself is very small, but it's not the size of the shrine that matters, right?

Lovely shinto shrine

I like visiting shrines and temples. They are a peaceful retreat from the hectic lives we live. However, this town seems sleepy already, so there seems to be less change visiting the shrine. Still it was nicely decorated for New Years. The modern handicap ramp deters a bit from the visual aesthetic, but at least people can get there in a wheelchair. It also has a public toilet, which can be difficult to find.
