We caught a bus to this site, which is also apparently famous for it's miso-konnyaku speciality. Because we came from the bus site it was a two kilometre walk up the road to the actual site, but if you have a car you can drive straight to the base of the site. To get to the temple you ascend around 300 (pretty old!) steps. The temple site itself is a scattering of various temples, fountains, a bell, and so on. The large bell has a beautiful sound (apparently because a little gold was added to the metal) and was cast out of melted down airplane parts after World War II. If you find the small path leading upwards behind the site, a 5-10 minute climb will let you see over Tottori city, and the sand dunes. A nice site to see close to Tottori city.
