Simple fortress,nice view to the sea. Probably more colourful during sunset. Free entrance. When surrounding area is ready it will be a great socialising place.

An interesting partially-restored ruin (they've been restoring since 1964). Fabulous old main gate and some interesting architecture. There's a board with the castle's history.

Aqaba castle is worth seeing. It is not huge and in walking distance from downtown There is no entry fee.

Interesting place. The main door has been kept in its original state and is just beautiful. We were told that at some point it was used as a prison. It would be nice to have at least one board explaining the history of this 12th century castle used during WW1 and in the film Lawrence of Arabia

Nice place to see during aqaba visit. A historical place was built 16th century I think and was a Ottoman castle for a while. Has a strategic location on the Aqaba bay and has a beautiful view.

Interesting place in Aqaba

The castle is a very interesting place in Aqaba. Very hospitable man in the entrance made a little excursion for us and showed the most beautiful views. This place will be interesting for all people who like history.
