Dear All,
I advise you to not buy products from here.
I visited this company while holiday in October 2022 and bought carpets for 4,400 euros. As we have flow to Turkey these were meant to be shipped to my house by them. The carpets never arrived and I haven't received a refund either. Have tried to contact them multiple times but they won't answer calls or mails. Avoid this company at all costs!

Our tour guide took us to Avanos to see the process of making rugs. It was a wonderful learning experience to see the effort and love these women put in their artistic creation.
Then in one of the big rooms they showed us beautiful rugs, grandkids loved to throw themselves in the softness of the rugs. There was no pressure and ended up buying a gorgeous rug that was being displayed in another room. They shipped the rug and arrived about 7 weeks later.

My mother and I visited the workshop as part of a tour, and it was a very informative experience. A great government-funded local initiative to preserve cultural traditions passed down for generations, while supporting local women's livelihood. I recommend adding this stop to your trip even if you're not interested in purchasing rugs.

My wife and I visited from California and we were most impressed with the workshop and museum. After viewing the large fiber arts museum collection, my wife was inspired to find her own antique Turkish drop spindle. Mustafa, one of the owners, gave us a private tour and showed us the history of carpet weaving and dying and even showed my wife how to tie knots on a carpet in progress. The carpets were excellent quality with many sizes and styles for any taste. If you come to the Cappadocia area, I highly recommend a visit!

Before going to here, first goto carpet shops at aavanos city center to get an idea about the prices! Later come to here! Very expensive! The same carpet is 1/3 of Sentez’s price!
Cok pahali bir yer! Avanos merkezdeki halici dukkanlarina once gidin ve fiyatlari ogrenin! Biz sentezden aldigimiz bir halinin aynisini 1/3 fiyatina bulduk avanos merkezde! Cok pahali! Zengin turistler icin burasi. Kaziklanmamak icin once sehir merkezindekilere bakin!!

I went to this place last month with my wife, we were taken there by a local guide that we hired for the day. They surely put on a good show, with the educational/cultural preservation talk, then show you how silk is made, then the natural dyes, etc. All that is actually really nice.
My wife and I wanted to buy a carpet for our new home and so they started showing various models, explaining the craftsmanship, explaining how to distinguish the real from the fake, the man-made from the machine-made, and so on.
We end up buying a carpet for USD 1,500 that the salesman said was made with silk and wool, and told us how many labor shifts it took to manufacture, etc. Then they quickly wrapped the carpet into a carry-on bag, we paid and left. When we got to the hotel we decided to open and take a last look. We found a tag on the carpet from a brand called Empera. We found their website and figured out our carpet was worth less the $300, was machine-made and 100% acrylic material.
Another Turkish scam.

Who would not feel hesitation to not buy after following all the edu-tourism offered by this place?
From threading till showing all in one show line 😬.. program on helping full time mom with all of the home made carpet produced locally among the villagers..
Respect ✊
When they showing the carpet I wasn’t able to take any pictures as I was enjoying the “art” of their marketing strategy 😬🙈 - couldn’t feel the same when we came to Istanbul ...
Happy shopping- I’ve Check already they’re cheaper if you able to negotiate better 😜

I've been there twice, always a miracle in front of your eyes all this popular woven art; if you really want to buy something you'd better have a big budget (at least 1000E), but you may be sure you buy an unique woven Anatolian oeuvre d'art; really precious objects from a soon to dissapear handcraft
if you're not ready to buy anything it's still worth a tour, for the pleasure of your eyes, otherwise you'd probably have to enter rich old Anatolina families' houses or some princes palaces to see these wonderful carpets
they have a very good marchandise staff, accept credit cards and ship even to Australia!

An incredible experience!!!
If you ever want to buy a Turkish carpet - do not do so before you have visited here!!!!
We only anted to visit Avanos for lunch due to limited time. Our taxi driver coerced us to visit this artisan or teaching school in Avanos. The purpose is to preserve the art of carpet making. What an experience!!!!!!!
i have been inundated by every carpet seller across Turkey and to be frank have had no idea of the work that goes into these gems. If you want to know - this is the place.
We were shown from the looms and how the creators make the knots and follow the pattern. Got an explanation of how the knots are made and watched both a maker on a 36 knots per square cm loom and one on a silk loom who does 225 knots per square cm. When yo realise that a large carpet takes 5 to 6 months to make - you know the value.
Also these are hand made - from the heart!!!! the speed the ladies had was incredible and I am so thankful for their time showing us this!!!
We were shown how silk is spun from cocoons and how dyes are made. Natursa and synthetic dyes were explained!! Very interesting information on how tourist are duped into the age of carpets. Not going to divulge that here - go an visit Avanos and learn!!!
Entrance is free - you just need to take the time out to go there!! The school is sponsored b the Turkish government and the prices are way below anything in Istanbul - after all the discounts. I live here and i bought a carpet for at least $400 less than a negotiated price in Istanbul in the depressed tourist season.
A really fantastic experience and my next carpet is a very special one and I am purchasing it from here!!!
