“quiet morning in the museum”

Open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. i spent a relaxed saturday morning jam packed with 6 excellent exhibitions and 2 lectures and 1 short film. A leading museum of contemporary art and recommended.
“Surprisingly wonderful”

When we (2 couples) could not visit the photo exhibit at the Herzliya Basis school of art, we chose to try our luc kat the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art. What a delightful surprise! First of all the building is bright and modern. The various exhibits are cleverly arranged and well explained. Even the modest gift store had practical items for sale. We expected to not like anything there but were delighted with the variety of art to see. Will go again and again.

Surprisingly wonderful

Small but exquisite

Truly a hidden gem: An exquisite collection of out-of-the-ordinary contemporary art, a lot of Israeli artists. The brutalist building is in itself already worth seeing. The museum is quite small, though, which puts questions marks behind the rather expensive entrance fees.

Intriguing and exciting modern art exhibitions in the center of Herzlia

The museum is a mid-range museum in size yet it brings very good exhibitions of both Israeli and foreign artisits. The manager of the museum and chief curator is Dr. Aya Lurie, who over the last 5 years managed to achieve a good reputation to this municipal institute.
I have started working at the reception desk of the museum in mid-2017, so I enjoy the change of exhibitions, flow of artists and visitors, as well as a very good atmosphere and cooperation among the employed staff.

An excellent opportunity for Contemporary Art

Herzliya Museum for contemporary Art is a vibrant establishment under the excellent management and curatorship of Dr. Aya Lurie. In the past couple of years we have enjoyed excellent Exhibitions ranging from Retrospective exhibitions of leading Israeli Artists such as Lea Kimmel, and Uri Lifshitz, along with more ambitious projects such as a Makers exhibition and, the Museums collection Exhibition, curated by primary school children who took a yearly course at the Museum.
Herzliya Museum is not one of the "large Museums", in Israel but it is a leader in contemporary Art! Do check there is an open Exhibition before coming and... enjoy.

Israeli modern art at its best

Firstly- the building is impressive and divided wisely to various independent spaces.
I've seen few artists' exhibitions centered around one common topic.Although the standards of the exhibitions were not the same the experience as a whole was very interesting,

Modern spacious museum with interesting exhibitions

This museum is located in a modern spacious building and provides exhibitions of modern art. Presently there are four different exhibitions that consist of sculptures, pictures and artistic videos. For me the most impressive one was a computer generated video focusing on the Korean DMZ.

Always interesting contemporary art exhibitions

I confess that I started working at the Museum's front desk lately. Nevertheless, I find some of the exhibitions intriguing, some simply beautiful and always interesting. The exhibitions change periodically yet it is recommended to visit each show.
