Borobudur International Golf and Country Club is a well designed golf course offering rather challenging golf outing experience. The condition of the fairways and greens are pretty good but could be improved. It is located about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Yogyakarta. The rate for playing a round of golf including green fee, caddie and golf buggy is reasonable. The food in the restaurant is good. However, the behaviour of the staff was disappointing. Before teeing off, we were given bottles of mineral water by the Starter. We took them thinking that the rate we paid was inclusive of the water.However, we realized upon completing our round of golf that they were additional charges and,most up-seting, that we were asked to pay for water/soft drinks taken by our caddies without our knowledge. Throughout our golfing experience, caddies would not take any water/soft drinks/snack unless intructed or offered by the golf players.
