We travelled on this excellent road numerous times during our stay in Bali. The road provides a great means of connecting to Nusa Dua, Kuta and Ubud. It also provides one of the rare opportunities to separate the numerous bikes and other vehicle traffic

Whether you are travelling from the North (Benoa Harbor) or East (Ngurah Rai) or the South (Nusa Dua) this is the fastest way to get there.
The toll road does not take cash any more but all taxies have a card.
This will be added on to your trip at the end but will save you time and money.

Travelled on this toll road a few times since it opened in 2013. 12.7km in length and traversing the Gulf of Benoa, it certainly provides a quick alternate route to other route that are generally gridlocked with traffic. Most local drivers seem to be shy of using the road, probably because of the toll that is payable. The road is a rather unique construction with 35, 000 piles as its foundations. For a little extra fee, we usually convince our drivers to take it slowly so that we can admire the wonderful views from the elevated road.

When travelling in Bali, most of the roads are generally 2-lane, one in each opposite direction. There is just no room for overtaking, let alone speeding. As a result, you would find most of the drivers in Bali to be patient and waiting in line.
So one morning, en route to Nusa Dua from Badung/Denpasar, our family of six was driven along this Bali Mandara Toll Road. What a beautiful sight to behold ! This toll road/bridge is built right across the Benoa Bay. While crossing it, the view was fantastic !
You can speed up, as there are many lanes, but it is not advisable. Because by so doing, you would be missing out on the scenic beauty surrounding this toll road. Take your time to enjoy the view !
