A museum worth visiting to learn more about the Balinese culture. Very good display of Ogor Ogor and the short audio visual is very well done and gives you an insight into the Balinese culture.

This new museum is a semi secret, sadly, as it is INCREDIBLE! An oasis of silence and beauty in a very overcrowded and noisy island. Free to guests of the 5 star resort Ayana where it is located, we bought tickets at their website after reading about it in Conde Nast's list of 100 must see places for 2024. It greatly exceeded expectations.
And despite it being middday on a Sunday with perfect weather, we were the ONLY visitors in the cavernous building and incredible gardens. Try to find another place anywhere allowing solitude and silence on the overcrowded Isle of the Gods, I dare you!
The central theme is Nyepi, the day of silence when the entire island (including the airport!) shuts down, everybody stays home to allow the stillness of mother Earth a brief respite from the hectic 364 days of the year preeceeding it. It is Balinese New Year. There is an 11 minute film, in English, then you walk around the collection and gardens. They suggest 45 minutes, we stayed 2 hours largely enjoying the gardens and the breathtaking array of Bouganvilla.
Take a break from bars and shopping and noise, and see the real beauty of Bali before the arrival of Bule (white people) , you wont regret it, I promise.

Not really a museum person but this place is more like an immersive cultural experience because of availability of very helpful staff to answer questions about role of art in Balinese culture. I really felt awe from looking at some of the giant effigies and how making them is such a community activity. Surprisingly moving. It’s a gorgeous setting with lots of water and gardens and just a lovely pl@ce to sp3nd an hour or so. It was created by o2ner of Ay@na resort to preserve culture but that’s another story. Free too!

What a wonderful idea and well executed. My wife, daughter and I were staying at Ayana and after breakfast at Rimva we visited the Saka Museum. Our delightful guide Diva was as attentive as he was knowledgeable of the ogoh-ogoh art that was displayed. Very relaxing and great to see the resorts giving back to educate travellers on the cultural history and significance of Bali
