We went early and no lines and easy to buy a ticket for the funicular. Nice ride to the summit and we enjoyed the views and the church. Unfortunately the maps are not that good and so it’s difficult to actually do the hikes on the paths. I would suggest taking the funicular up and then walk to the gondola, take it down to the other side and walk back up and catch the funicular back to your starting point.
You get an amazing view of the city and you realise how large it is.
Tip.
When we came down the line was long so get there early especially at the weekend when the locals go.

A nice one hour walk to the top that has great views of the city, including Sky Costaleta. Nice place to eat and get souvenirs. Virgin Mary at the top was a nice thing to see but the views were more of an attraction. The gondola is fairly reasonably priced and you can take it up one way or both ways. A nice thing to do in Santiago!

We were supposed to see Cerro San Cristobal according to the tour, but in fact it was closed because of a holiday the previous day which then bumped maintenance to the day we were to visit. We did go on our own the next day. It was fine with picturesque views and a fair amount of climbing stairs to the monument on top. We're probably jaded when it comes to vistas and religious temples and such, but it was ok.

First of this is a hill in the city. Second it has a great 😊 view of the city. Lastly ,it is must see site for first timers to Santiago.

Don't count on the them having change for you. The funicular is nice - and the virgin mary at the top is nice to see, along with the church and the views. The cable car part is mostly unnecessary to do.

Wonderful short trip to a great viewing spot in Santiago. You can enjoy a relaxed space with a church, a couple of food stands and lots of clean air. The views of the city and mountains is great.
You can take the trolley on your way up, and then the cable car on the way down to enjoy the views.

Arrived at the top of the station using the funicular but can be ascended for free (though it might take as long as waiting in line for the funicular).
Once on top, there is large statue of what looks like Virgin Mary. There are several snack and drink vendors on top. not much shade when up there, so bring a hat, and sunblock.
You can take the cable car to walk to the other side near the Sky Costanera, though it might take a while. It has a lot curves, and not many vendors in the middle, so it took me about 2 hours to walk it. Though be warned, it's made for cars, and at some points there was no pedestrian walkway or vendors.
In the middle there are several small plazas and even a pool where you can rest or have a picnic.
Nice peaceful walk where you can see the whole city.

A must if you are visiting Santiago. We went part of the way on the funicular, shops and food at the top , but then quite a few steps if you are climbing to the very top . An exciting ride on the cable car afterwards to the foot of the hill .Good day out

The funicular to go up the mountain was great. Once at the top, the views are stunning. We really enjoyed our time there and probably could have stayed even longer.

As I remember, there is a parking close to the funicular and I think you can also drive to the mountain and park there. I was there on foot, so I hope that my answer can help.

Hola. Así es , se puede subir en vehículo hasta la cumbre. Importante es , por el asunto de la pandemia y la cuarentena total que rige sobre Santiago, consultar si está abierto el acceso a público general.

When we were there the opening hours had been changed significantly following the protests in Santiago. We had to ask when it would be open, and at the time it was only at weekends, or if there were any public holidays. Appreciate that this was a couple of months ago, and things might have changed.

Olá, não posso afirmar com 100% de certeza, mas como se trata do feriado das festas Patrias que é considerado ”Irrenunciable” creio que não estará aberto. Durante este tipo de feriado, praticamente nenhum comércio ou estabelecimento abre, para permitir à população chilena se dedicar às festas de rua, com danças típicas, paradas militares, churrasco nas ruas, etc. Se vc for ficar mais dias em Santiago, fora dos feriados, aproveite para visitar o Cerro antes ou depois, para garantir.
