“Great place in Prawirotaman ”

They have awesome leather works and batik. Comparing with other places, their prices are fair. They have their own coffee bar right next with strong coffee which is hard to find around there. A recommendable spot!

Maybe it is my fault for not checking thoroughly but I bought a Rp900k (sgd90) vintage backpack and on our last night, I wanted to use to pack some things home, both the bag straps gave way. Apparently the leather was not taken care of very well during display and the leather broke into smaller pieces with the stitches all got shredded. So please check your items carefully before purchasing. We bought a few more sling bags which was okay. Alot of choices here if you love leather.

A NICE KNICK KNACK SHOP

it is located along the backpackers St. It's is a knick knack shop selling alot of things as souviners. They also have good leather goods. It caters more for this area or you need to head to maliobor. Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are higher then street vendor but better quality.

A Nice Place to Pass Your Time

I was looking for unique items to get for myself when I found out about Asjava, a place only a stone throw away from where I was staying. Went there and was pleased with what I saw. They have a nice collection of knick knacks, clothes and leather bags. The price looks all right to me too. Give a try. You may find something you'd like to bring back home. I didn't find any but ah well, I can be quite picky. If you're like me, head on straight to Mirota over in Malioboro area!

Asjava has some amazing, unique bags and crafts. Lots of colour and lots of choice!
Just off the side is 'ascoffee' amazing quality coffee, shakes etc.
The best bit are the tours on offer. Great flexability, amazing local knowledge, detours all the tourist routes for a real indonesian experience!
This place is a must visit!

A little gem of a shop..... and vintage clothing too! A must see experience!

We visited this special little shop on our travels.
Full of really nice hand crafted goods we could have stayed hours just looking through the pretty displays of goodies. There seemed to be something for everyone, whatever your budget. Beautiful handcrafted leather bags, silver jewellery, wonderful clothes made in vintage Javanese batik fabrics and a vast collection of little bits and pieces to delight your senses.
Friendly staff and a really easy going atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
