The tour is an extraordinary experience that starts with a brief introduction of all the people participating. That helps to create a more intimate atmosphere with Ronnie and Anneke. Then, the next moment, you're walking in the side of the city that you have never been before, talking to the people living there, the children. Lots of questions will come to your head but Ronnie and Anneke will answer each and one of them, also working as interpreters with the people living there.
This tour is recommended for everyone, despite your profession, you will see the way people live and struggle living there and you can make your contribution.

A true experience if you want to see and experience the real life of the local people in Jakarta!
The locals are so friendly and the guide Ronny, also has a lot of knowledge of the city and the local people you will be visiting! Very nice!

To experience the difficulties of others is to create empathy and a desire to help. Ronnie and Anneke provide a window into the forgotten ones in Jakarta. It was an incredible day of awareness. Thank you!

Really special tour. Ronny and Anneke are taking great care of their visitors and try to show them another side of the city. Even though I live in Jakarta already for a while, be sure to see new things and make new experiences. The tour was supposed to take 3 hours but because I had time and Ronny and Anneke were also not in a rush, we ended up spending almost the whole day together.

The glossy brochures, travel agencies and guidebooks suggest you a rich, incredible and beautiful Jakarta, for example the huge malls, the countless skyscrapers, the different skybars and the famous nightlife.
But is this the real Jakarta?
A friend gave us the information, two people in Jakarta offer the tour "Hidden Jakarta Tour", especially "Social Humanity". We got in touch with this two people, Ronny and Anneke. And this tip was value in gold.
We visited with Ronny and Anneke the poor areas north of Jakarta. Some people in this area gave us a insight in their life. A life located directly on the railway, stinking rivers or under bridges. They told us, how difficult it is, to earn enough money. Money for the food, rent for the sheet metal huts, for their children. It was a very impressive and thought-provoking experience for us. Thank`s Ronny and Anneke.
The half of the fee for the "Social Humanity Tour" is for the people in the slums!
But is this the real Jakarta?

Halo semua orang! This is definitely one of the best experiences i had in my entire life!! I was the first one who booked the tour on Tripadvisor that’s why there aren’t any recommendations. But i can assure you that this one is the exact same as the Jakarta Hidden Tour with Ronny and Anneke!
What a beautiful lovely couple♥️ all the things that they are doing for the people in the kampungs is just mindblowing. For instance they recently took 100 children to the KFC and give them classes and so on. People like them deserve so much more attention!!🙏🏽
About the tour: after the confirmation and by having contact with Ronny and Anneke via jaktour@gmail.com i had to fill in a form, after that i got the starting adres which is Kantin Mega Rasa, easy to find for the gojek. I had to wait to i took a sip buntut. Nice on time Anneke an Ronny showed up and we ate together and talk a little bit. After a bit when the time was ready we took Ronnys car to the first place.. During the ride i had a nice conversation and they told me alot about the KNILL and the VOC if you are Belanda you know..
It was just so heartwarming how the people welcomed me and everybody was so kind♥️🥺
We walked around, jalan-jalan and Ronny introduced me to many families and told me stories. Make sure to take some small gifts with you it will melt your heart, i’m convinced. We also took a becak inside the kampungs before we went to the second place.
The second place i could remember from a documentary and i was just flabbergasted, how is it even possible for human beings, children and babies to live that close to a train rail while the train is passing by every 50 minutes.. At the end of the tour Anneke was giving clothes to all the people and other stuff they took with them. Just wow guys!!♥️
I think that everybody should take this tour when you are in Jakarta to see what’s really going on. They can tell you beautiful stories about the history of Indonesia and everything felt so good. Let’s unite and show the forgotten people of Jakarta some love by just visiting them and give them some small presents like Indomie or toothbrushes or small toys or whatever.
Ive never saw a human being so happy and grateful to be alive and well while in mind i know that they have nothing and just a small room to live in.. I’m so grateful that i was able to do this tour. And i will definitely do it again soon!🙏🏽 ♥️
