The Sin Tat Plaza (Sincere Podium) is located in the Sincere House building along Argyle Street in Mongkok. This is something of a famous low-rent, dingy arcade like venue with several floors lined with small shops dealing in mobile telephones, parts, accessories, service and repair. You can find a few computer and electronics related shops as well.
The venue has not been renovated or kept up like most other high pedestrian traffic venues around the city. In fact, it has felt rather dingy here for at least the past 15 years, still see shopkeepers smoking openly and the overall scene looks and feels more like the 90s or early turn of the 21st century, sort of a time capsule of sorts, while the rest of Mongkok and the city continues to evolve and move on from that era.
Note, it is an experience to pass through the Sincere House Podium from time to time but do be aware that many reports over the years of fake/low grade quality as well as bait-and-switch tactics being used here. As such, you may want to just pay more and save your purchases for places with higher reputations, which there are plenty throughout Mongkok.

Sin Tat Plaza is famous, or notorious for some, for mobile phone stalls. It was once a landmark for buyers of new iPhones. With past glory long faded, it is now a half-dead mall with only a few shops left. Many of them have poor reputation for selling malfunctioned or fake products. More adventurous travelers can go to the third floor to check out the porn and sex toy shops. This is not exactly an attraction of interest.

Got an iPhone SE here. Boxed and wrapped, says NEW on receipt. But after two months starts failing. Rear logo falls out, Apple confirms it's and old phone with FAKE refurb parts. Police will do nothing, first say they can't tell it's fake, then say Apple email confirms nothing, they leave and when called back finally talk to Apple on phone. When Apple confirms phone is refurb with fake parts, police say it's ok for him to pretend old phone is NEW one, as long as inside is real, albeit old, it's not technically a fake. Yes it's OK to cheat people here. He is ALLOWED to continue ripping off tourists, who mostly will be long gone when they find out they got ripped. Customs makes a case number but doesn't seem too interested, really. HK may say it's illegal to sell fakes, but nobody seems to be enforcing. DON'T GO THERE

Took my phone to store G15 (shop to your right when you entered) to fix. After inspection I was told that hardware replacement is required so I paid up. At first the phone appeared to be fixed, but later found out that part of the phone was merely disabled to give the illusion of repair. Store owner did not care about the issue and refuse to refund.
It's only now that I realized there are other bad reviews for the ground level phone repair shops and wish I read them before I went. There are lots of cool stuff to look at in this mall but I left very disappointed with the dishonest practice of store G15. Buyers beware!

I wanted to buy a new phone, looked at some stores and decided to but from place called ocean on the Entry floor.
Be careful and do not buy from this crooked man.
I bought from him a cell phone for $ 1000 a huwaei mate 20 pro, the guy told me that his version was world-wide when the version was actually Chinese.
I could only check it out at the hotel with the wifi because they would tell you there was no wifi there.
I wanted to return the next day, but unfortunately my flight was at 15:00, when this crook was opened at 13:00 and so I was screwed with this cell phone now.
So beware of this store .there are lots of other good people, i bought 2 apple headpgohes and also one gopro and thet were super ok,
so be aware of ocean store.
i am trying to find ways to sue him now.

Did a search online to find the place. Easy to find from the Mong Kok MRT Exit D2 & go strait. About 200 mts and cross the road. Ask "Sin Tat" to any local and they all know it.
Once inside, the first shop was able to obtain the batteries we needed for a pair of unusual phones. No other seller wanted to assist in this request, simply "No, don't have".
We found a shop "with other customers" also purchasing phones. They purchased a pair of S9s & I found a great price on a new Huawei for my wife. It met our criteria and made a P.O.S purchase. Phone is genuine, English as default from the box & it works as expected, easy to use and a happy wife.
We returned to the first shop to order the batteries. An enjoyable 2 hours or so looking around. It was a little quiet but it was Xmas day!
Too many people in the streets to take any photos, sorry on this occasion.
Across the road, it's easy to see a large street market, clothes, toys, souvenirs and so much more. Great deals on novelty USB sticks. 5 x 64 GB for $20 AUD. We enjoyed it there and purchased a few other items too.

Just this week some shops in the arcade have been raided for selling fake phones as new.
About 13 shops have been shuttered because of this.
Avoid this place if you can if you’re after a phone. Toys and accessories are still plentiful.

Good phone selections , but beware you know the cost elsewhere before going . There are a a couple of shops who will try to overcharge you so be aware. But on the whole the place was as expected

Many shops have closed due to the lack of innovation from Apple. Used to be a hive for trading of sought after Iphones, but that bubble has burst.
