The building itself is beautiful and very well maintained, so it's a treat to the eye. Inside feels less like a museum and more like the home of an approachable down to earth intellectual. I really enjoyed the excellent chronology of the Jaggans' political careers - very interesting to learn about the emergence from colonialism, fighting for social justice and the story behind the political and racial divides in Guyana. Well worth a visit, as there's precious little (ok, no) information about this accessible to the general public in museums in other countries, e.g. UK. I can now put my family stories into their historical context-thank you.

I had no idea who this great man even was until I went here. What an amazing man. Great review of his life and times! DO NOT miss!
