The positives are:
Close to metro station
Free
Lots of activities for big and small children
Staff in the dinosaur exhibit are friendly.

Negatives:
Hard to find entrance, we tried to walk through the park but there is a big hate around the park so long hot walk to find the entrance .
Lots of areas closed for cleaning or repair however they were dirty anyway, for example, mould all of the splash pad, bad smelling buildings.
90% of the staff do not really interact with children unless they are telling them off. There were about 100 people working there, constantly following and watching your every move. Even following into the bathrooms.
You have to take your shoes off the second you walk near an activity, staff are very aggressive with this.
I put my son down inside the 0-2 room, he ran off to play, staff were yelling telling us to take all our shoes off, my son was wearing black socks that might have looked like shoes. Staff were yelling at my husband and I to take our shoes off while yelling at my 1 year old for his socks. Very stressful.
Staff run at you to when you approach a building to tell you to use another entrances or that cleaning is in progress. So not even let you get close to signs to read them.
I was 90% of the walk towards the lift then told to use another walkway, as it’s one way, I felt this was unnecessary with my son already waiting at the lift. I wasn’t allowed to go to him, staff very aggressive and pushy, very intimidating, wouldn’t let me past. There are lots of signs but mostly in Thai so easy to do the wrong thing. Even if there is English on a sign you can hardly get close enough to read it before staff and pushing you away.
We were worried that we would be yelled at whenever my son touched anything, disappointing when it is advertised as a place where children can explore and discover.
My husband I I felt very uncomfortable.

I get that there are rules and people are doing their jobs but there is a nice way to interact with visitors. No need to be so rude and strict.

It was a very negative experience and big waste of time for my husband and I.

This behaviour is very different from what we are used to in Australia. I wouldn’t recommend this to Australian or other western visitors.

The museum is for little kids, probably older than mine (5 and 2). It contains several sections and plenty of information, however, what I didn't particularly like was the lack of staff around the museum to explain to kids what each section is about. We kind of had to find our way through it and most of the information was in Thai. However, my kids enjoyed parts of the museum. We didn't get to watch the show at the planetarium as we had to wait for a couple of hours to get in.

My 2 year boy and the family had a great time here!!! He enjoyed here so much!!! We only stayed at the outdoor area and we spent 2 hours having fun just at the out door area (meanwhile Mommy had a great shopping time at Chatuchark too). Plenty of things to do here and it is all free!!!

We took our son to this museum and he loved it (especially water and dinosaur park) ! It’s not like a water park but enough facilities for kids to enjoy the afternoon. It’s at the good location if you are aiming to go shopping at Chatchuck weekend market on the same day.

Staying in Bangkok for a month with two young kids, ages 3 and 6. Thought this would be good for a morning activity for us all. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We arrived pretty much when they opened and found a lot of staff congregated at the front desk, felt a little awkward. No issues here, just a passport check and we were given our wristbands.

After venturing through, we decided to enter the first building on the left just before the water play area. We were turned away as a member of staff said it wasn’t open until August time. We then entered the dinosaur area past the water park which wasn’t bad, quite small and most interactive parts were not working. In fact, this was apparent in most of the other areas. We found majority of staff just sitting around talking to one another and not at all interested in interacting with us. The kids had a go at the Lego building which was located in the main building on the top floor. We found the lady who was managing this area to be literally watching over us and tidying shelves as we were using things. She then said our kids couldn’t build up on a wall that was already around the outside of the area.

It was almost like going into a relatives house who suffered from obsessive compulsive disorder whereby you couldn’t touch anything without having it quickly put back the way it was.

The outdoor water play park was fun for the kids but they soon got bored and agitated when they constantly were told they couldn’t do or touch things. Same with the outdoor play area. The staff need to brighten up and interact with the public instead of sitting around not doing very much.

We wouldn’t recommend it to any family with curious kids. And we wouldn’t return. It was a wasted journey for us unfortunately. The only positives was that it was free entry and the outdoor bits were OK.

The staffs r busy talking to each other rather than accompanying or explaining to guests. Place is kinda well-kept but the indoor facilities are a bit shabby and not well lit

Outside was so intense heat. We found this sanctuary for kids. My 2yo enjoyed staying and playing inside un airconditioned room.
Plenty things for kids to explore. Free entry. Friendly staffs. They speak English too.

We took our 2 year old to this Museum in late March. It’s on the end of the Sky Train line so easily accessible but we ended walking around the whole building trying to find the entrance. The outside splash pad was fun especially on a hot day but the floor was super moldy and gross which made it slippery. Inside there was a lot of renovations so some areas were closed. There were also field trips going on in about 4/5 areas so we couldn’t go in there either. Some areas are closed at certain times for cleaning so you have to plan accordingly. The lift was broken so we had to carry the stroller up three floors. The exhibits were basic, meaning just a quick walk through was enough. The top floor has a play area with blocks but was super hot so we didn’t stay long. Overall not really worth it, especially if you have limited time in BKK. The only plus was that it is free entrance and there is lots of good street food nearby.

We went with our 4 year old daughter. Caught the No 3 bus from near Khaosan Road, we combined it with a visit to the Chatuchak weekend market next door.

You need passports or passport photos to enter the park. There is A LOT under repair and the facility is in desperate need of maintenance but it is free and there is still a lot to do. Many of the activates are timed, for the things that seem to be scheduled on a fixed time - water park and fossil digging - I have added photos of the times and rules. This is especially important if you want to visit the water park. Note the children must wear clothes (or swimmers) rule.

My daughter had a great time despite a lot being closed and much of the signage being in Thai, we figured it out. We were there maybe 90 minutes and only got time to play in the water park, visit the dinosaur exhibit and dig for fossils, visit the library - they have some english language early readers - paint a picture and play with play dough at the art studio. Most of the other activities were already underway when we got there and the next registration was not until 12:30 or 1:30pm and we were planning on leaving by then. We did not make it upstairs, where I am sure there would have been more to interest her.

I think you could spend 2 hours here if you have a young child (around the same age as ours)

Sure it is under maintenance and a bit tired but it is free, and the indoor stuff is air conditioned and there are very few other playground options in Bangkok so this is a good one.

Everything there is under maintenance - BOTH the dry outdoor playground AND the wet play area - what a disappointment. They should just close the place instead of letting visitors come all the way only to be disappointed. The indoor exhibits were old and needed a lot more maintenance. They try to be a mini Kidzania but since they don’t charge any entrance fees everything doesn’t really work or is in bad shape. Good concept but horrid maintenance. Perhaps they should consider charging fees to ensure the place is maintained better.
