I just got back from my food tour of Bangkok. What an amazing experience. So glad that I took advantage of this opportunity. My tour guide “J” was so enthusiastic and made the food adventure a blast. But this is so much more than just food. Got to experience parts of Bangkok I would have had no idea about. Thanks to “J” and Michael for organizing. What value for 10 hours of food exploration!

The host took us to all the back alleys and hidden local communities. The smiles and warm greetings from the locals and the city so rich in history and culture were so inspiring. The host, Michael, was super friendly and amazingly knowledgeable about history, the local community, and Thai culture.
Thank you Michael for your great knowledge and endeavour in passing the true values and beauty of Thai local communities. Can't wait to be back for more!

This tour is fantastic. We did Bangkok Starters on our second day in Bangkok. They show you, not just the key tourist spots, but the backstreets that contribute and stories to accompany them. We had a fantastic time. It’s everything you should know to start your trip in Bangkok/Thailand. Take some water. Enjoy. Our tour guide - Mu - is a legend; if you get him, you’ll be very, very lucky. We had a fantastic guided tour thru bustling china town with our guide "Ae". She was really informative, showed us around and we had conversations with her about several topics regarding the History of China Town, Inhabitants or Thailand in general.
It was a lot of fun, tasteful of new traditional chinese dishes and a great chance to also look behind the curtains of china town and their peoples lives and places.
If you should be in Bangkok, I only can highly recommend to book a tour with Bangkok Vanguards, as they are offering different guided tours, which are a great chance to step deeper into Bangkok's life, food and history, which has this amazing city to offer.
It was a lot of fun, tasteful of new traditional chinese dishes and a great chance to also look behind the curtains of china town and their peoples lives and places.
If you should be in Bangkok, I only can highly recommend to book a tour with Bangkok Vanguards, as they are offering different guided tours, which are a great chance to step deeper into Bangkok's life, food and history, which has this amazing city to offer.

The migrationolgy food tour was my favorite experience in Bangkok! Our tour guide, Jay, was knowledgeable, kind, and so much fun. She took us to multiple markets, fed us delicious food over 9 hours, and answered every question we had (I’m very curious and ask a lot :)). Thank you for this amazing experience! It really helped us navigate the city better during the rest of our time in Bangkok, and enjoy foods we previously didn’t know about. Thank you, thank you!

We did a customized tour with Bangkok Vanguards visiting the old city and Chinatown, and communities across the river. Communication with them through Michael was easy and efficient - he suggested an itinerary that included everything we wanted to see and more! We had a great time with him as our guide, and are already looking forward to doing future tours with the company including their night bike and foodie tours! We have lived in Bangkok for more than five years and this was one of our best urban experiences to date. While not a frequent reviewer I have to compliment Michael and Bangkok Vanguards and highly recommend joining them for the day to discover or rediscover the city.

I thought I had known Bangkok as I worked there for half a year. However, Bangkok Vanguards taught me better. I have seen breath taking places off the common pathes and hidden to most visitors. This day I learned much about the culture, history and nowadays challenges of local communities in this vibrant city as well as the taste of street food and home cooked Thai dishes.
Our guide who grew up and lives in Bangkok was very courteous and responded to individual wishes of the small group. There was no time that I felt uninformed or lost.
Furthermore, Bangkok Vanguards should be your first choice, if you are interested in sustainable tourism. These people do not care about their own profit, but spreading the story of and on the same hand supporting local communities.
I wish I could be guided by them in each and every vacation.

Bangkok 360 shows the real Bangkok behind the scenes you could never explore on your own without this local guide who really wanted to grant us this special view on Bangkok. Bing brought us through the whole day with an unbelievable kindness and he friendly had an answer on all our questions!
Chinatown, little India, Indian Temple, artist coffee, long boat canal tour besides the tourism tracks, we had an amazing good lunch at a real thai family‘s home, visited a real buddhism temple, amazing food everywhere.... IT WAS GREAT!!!! 😁😋👍🏻 Bing dropped us at least at a roof top bar, and as we travel a lot we urgently recommend to ask for this great guide! You really feel he loves to welcome foreigners through his hometown Bangkok, to guide them through the day and to leave them as friends. We had our tour in German but we write in English to let you all know-book this tour and enjoy!!! Have fun and thanks again to Bing 😁😁😁

This was our first time in Bangkok, and we wanted to begin our stay in the city with a tourism organization that has a locally focused, sustainable mission. Bangkok Vanguards' theory of change and the story of its founder Michael distinguished this group from the rest—and our day spent with tour guide Mu made the experience so worthwhile! Mu studied archaeology and has a passion for art (he mentioned wanting to begin a street art tour, which we would love to join in the future!). His knowledge of Thai history, as well as the sociocultural dynamics within Bangkok and across the country, gave us greater insight than we anticipated for day one of our trip! For those who are new to Bangkok, this tour is designed to help you navigate the city, street food and visit local spots in addition to some of the top destinations for tourists. We could not have asked for a better tour or guide, and highly recommend Bangkok Vanguards and Mu to fellow travelers!

Dear Tour Professionals,
I would like to find out if you are available on three days in July to spend with us showing the best your city can offer. We arrive from Singapore on July 3 at 5 pm and will stay in Bangkok on July 4. Then we are going to Chiang Mai for 2 days and will be staying in Bangkok again on July 7 and 8.
Please let me know if you are available on all of those 3 days and what tours you can recommend. We are interested in the Grand Palace, most famous Temples, Flower Market, Chinatown, etc.
I hope to hear from you as soon as possible as we are leaving the United States on June 28th going to Singapore.
Additional details: We are a very active couple, can walk a lot, very punctual time wise, interested in everything authentic and worth looking at. We love history, culture, humor, shopping, food, etc.

Hello!
Both my husband and I were in Bangkok back in March and the best thing we did was to use Bangkok Vanguards, to start us off on Day 1 of our stay in Bangkok. They provide walking tours (that also covers Chinatown) which gives you a flavor of what Bangkok has to offer and at the same time you can get some very useful tips from the owner and guide, Michael. Do look them up on the internet. We did their all-day walking tour - very informative and culturally interesting - best thing we ever did!
From there, we were able to learn different ways of using Bangkok's best public transportation i.e. tuk-tuks, the public taxi boats and the BTS train. Depending on where you intend to go, the taxis can be a waste of time and money when you get stuck in Bangkok's notorious traffic jams.
The Grand Palace and Wat Pho are very popular tourist attractions - so be prepared to stand in line for quite a while to get in. We chose to skip them and opted for the less popular temples as Bangkok has many of them which are just as equally interesting.
