The construction was carried out by a an architect Gustav Wiedermann, the author of Orthodox churches in Frantiskovy Lazne and Karlovy Vary in 1900-1902 as Russian visitors to the town were missing an Orthodox church. There was an entry to pay which I thought was ridiculous as other churches were free to enter.

A historical. cultural, and religious monument

The Pravoslavniy Kostel Is located within the city limits of Marianske Lozne and is easily reachable from all hotels. Besides being an important religious center for Orthodox Christians, it has also a historical, cultural attraction. The iconostaz is impressive and the church displays an artistically very valuable icon.

Centrally located in the town this is a beautiful building. Small charge to enter but great interior with icons created for the Paris world exhibition in 1900.

We attended the event with Classical music called Ave Maria, which was beautiful experience in this church. Highly recommended. It fitted nicely with the style of this church.

It is nice christian church in Russian style, nice to see and nice walk to it. But you will need 20 CZK for entry. So do not forget some change for it.
