I rode with Bev last week, we did a 2hr hack which took in the woods and beach. Was a lovely ride and a fantastic way to see the area. The horses were good and Bev makes sure you are happy with your horse. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a very calming way about her, that gives you confidence if you are a bit nervous.
I took my own hat and boots as I had decided to try and book to ride, however Bev has those available too.
Should I be back in the area, I will definitely be going back. Thoroughly recommend riders to visit.
Made my holiday.

Excellent experience. Taught how to properly handle the horses which many riding places lack!. Staff extremely friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

Excellent place to go horse riding whilst staying in the algarve. Very friendly staff and Bev was incredibly helpful. The school is run so well and the horses are clean, healthy and look very well cared for. This is an amazing school and was a highlight of our trip. Thanks!

Thanks to Bev for some lovely riding on lovely horses. Had a lot of fun cantering and exploring through the woods. Very well run yard and extremely friendly.

My 14-year old daughter has been going to pinetrees for 8 years and absolutely loves it. Bev’s lessons are very good and she explains things in a way that my daughter understands why she has to do things in a certain way. She always says she learns more in about 5 lessons in Portugal than in a whole year at home!

I think I was the first rider after Lockdown.
Bev, the owner of Pinetrees Horse Riding
facilities, greeted me wearing a mask. Fran,
her assistant, then took me to get my
boots, chaps and hat.
Since I know how to ride, Bev took me for
a terrific ride through the forest. I enjoyed it
so much I came back every Wednesday
for the entire month of June. We saw
men harvesting cork and Bev told me about all the vegetation as she has lived
in the Algarve most of her life. All the horses are well schooled and a joy to ride.
Everyone who is new to the yard wears
a mask but not when they are riding.
Everyone does their best to do social
distancing.
I highly recommend Bev as a riding teacher, which I watched while have a coffee after our rides. Hope to bring my sons next month for some lessons.

Having just completed ten riding lessons at Pinetrees Riding Centre I feel compelled to write and recommend. Bev, owner and instructor, was fantastic at adapting the pace of learning so that it was both manageable and fun. The horses are all lovely and so well cared for. All the equipment was provided and this was of an excellent quality. I had a fabulous time both riding in the arena and exploring the beautiful countryside. I can’t wait to return - thank you Bev and all of your team.

I booked a couple of rides at Pinetrees in advance of our trip to Portugal. We arrived too early, but Bev didn't mind, she was there to greet us and sat us down in the shade with a most welcome pot of tea while she and her staff prepared the horses.
Bev selected very suitable horses for us. I am an experienced rider so I took a more forward-going chestnut mare, while my (adult) son (who rides only occasionally) rode a massive and beautiful sure-footed gelding.
The horses are all superbly cared for, and the tack in excellent condition. Both my son and I borrowed jodhpurs, chaps, boots and helmets - there was a vast choice of sizes of each to choose from so we could be as comfortable as possible.
The riding was lovely on sandy trails through the pines, and at this time of year, wildflowers and herbs underhoof. An absolute joy. These were gentle rides, with occasional trots and a few lovely canters.
Overall, the attention to detail and customer care was exemplary. If and when I return to the Algarve, I'd have no hesistation in riding again at Pinetrees. Thoroughly recommended.

My 8 year old rides often at home (UK) and on holiday. These stables are wonderful. Extremely patient, encouraging staff with bags of experience they are happy to share with youngsters. I would not hesitate to recommend

I am quite sure that the team at Pinetrees can provide you beach rides :) Just look at the website and ask the owner, she is a really kind person who answers your questions immediately. It will be a two/ three hours ride and is definitely worth it! I loved the landscape and views :)

How far are the stables from Vilamoura as will have to arrive by taxi? Also what does the 2 hour ride entail?

Hi, the stables are only about 20 minutes drive from Vilamoura. As I understand it, there are a choice of rides to take. The ride I took started with a quick test in the arena. Then we rode out, crossing through the local smart residential area. We rode down to visit the lake and spot the wildlife and then through pine trees to look out points to get beautiful views out over the ocean. The ride looped on and round through the sandy pine forest, with some trots and canters, to bring us back to the stables in a 'circular' ride. I got the impression the team at Pinetrees were very accommodating and flexible, adapting the ride to suit the rider's interests and experience. Hope this helps.
