Great experience
Jan 2019 • Pasangan
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I went on a Monday, so it wasn’t overly crowded. The equipment was in really great condition. The facilities were all clean. They have a restaurant and a coffee shop. (More expensive but it’s to be expected). The tracks were really well kept and the forfeit too. We paid online in advance but once we got there they asked us about a lot of add-one like equipment insurance, a locker and a helmet (€6) .. but it’s normal. You can also change equipment for 3€ as long as you do it before 3:30. I did this because I wanted to try snowboarding for the first time but later ski. The drive up there is nice and parking is free and plentiful.

Great mountain so close to Valencia!
Feb 2018 • Pasangan
We never thought we could enjoy the sun of Valencia and the snow of anywhere so close in one weekend. We will go back here anytime we are in Valencia. It is only a 90 minute drive. The staff at this mountain were so friendly and helpful. The snow was great! Sure it is small, but it was absolutely wonderful and a few difficult trails for experts, nothing really available off piste, but it might be possible after a large storm.

Perfect for 2day visit
Des 2017 • Pasangan
This Ski resort is about an hour and half inland from Valencia. Its relatively small but cheaper and a lot less people then normal busy resorts. Its perfect for beginners up to intermediate skiers. Blue/green/red slopes but no black slopes. There are about 5/6 main slopes and a few other mini slopes which are perfect for a 2 day visit. We try and make it down most Christmas times and stay in a hotel within 30 mins drive, do 2 days skiing then carry on back to the coast to enjoy Christmas in the sun. best of both worlds!

This was the first time my daughter had been skiing. Ideally located a 2 hour drive from our home but we stayed close to Valencia the night before. The journey after you leave the motorway (A23) is stunning. We visited on a Thursday arriving at 10am, there was no queue for hire of equipment or passes. Seems most people take their own kit and have a season pass. Staff are very friendly but speak no English (not that they should, you're in Spain). There was no queue for any of the lifts despite their being a couple of schools and a contingent from the Guardia Civil. Snow is manufactured but given it's slightly warmer that anywhere else we have been previously the snow seemed powdery and great to ski on.
Prices in the cafe were not stupidly high despite the fact you are MILES from anywhere. One tip, make sure you have fuel, there isn't much around otherwise!

Valdelinares is a small ski resort close to Valencia. It takes around 90 minutes to drive from Valencia to Valdelinares. We like to ski here because it's easy to reach, cheap and never crowded.

Valdelinares in 1 hoir and 45 min away from Valencia. You will drive 45min on the highway. The rest in the mountains with amazing views. You will pass by few villages. One of them Rubielos de Mora has won as most beautiful village from Spain in 2016... very beautiful place. Just stop on the way to ski resort 👌
On the end of your trip you will find ski resort on 2000m high mountain. Lot's of parking space. The ski lifts🏂 just next to the parking. Also plenty space for the little ones on the sled. There is also restaurant and kind of fast food. Everything is quiet new in good condition. Also the toilets 👌

Brilliant little truly Spanish ski resort
Jan 2015 • Keluarga
This gem of a resort is perfect for beginners or for a day trip or weekend. Only just over an hours drive from the coastal city of Valencia. Late February to Easter It is possible to sunbathe on Valencia beach in the morning and ski 6.000 feet above sea level at Valdelinares in the afternoon. No good for experts or serious skiers but a beautiful little gem for a couple of days.Nearby ancient town of Rubielos de Mora is well worth a visit and has a couple of really good hotels and restaurants.

Great tree line skiing for beginners/intermediates

Thought we would try another Spanish resort other than Sierra Nevada . We weren't disappointed. It's not often you arrive at the summit of the slopes and ski down. A variety of beginner slopes and blues and also a few reds. Good lift system but expect spring snow conditions. Sooooo warm! Couldn't believe the snow was still there. Two cafés at the top serving chips, pizzas etc, lots of children and families at the weekend but weekdays much, much quieter. Lift passes and ski hire very reasonable.

Make sure you also try out Javalambre. Slightly higher and better snow. Some of the 'blues' are reds though so be warned! Sabina is best as a base to start skiing from.

We stayed in Mora de Rubielos, nice town with big castle. The nearer 'towns' were tiny and deserted. Recommend hotelTtrufa Negra for accommodation, restaurant and spa.

A little gem 75 minutes drive from the Mediterranean sea
Feb 2015 • Keluarga
We wanted a little ‘warm up’ before the main ski holiday. So, having set the alarm for an early start the next day, we arrived in Valdelinares at about 09:00.

Lift tickets were purchased and skis/sticks/boots hired. We were on the slopes at 09:40. This was a Sunday with perfect weather and the resort is unlikely to get any busier than this. So get there as early as you can to avoid the initial queues for tickets and gear.

To start, we had the slopes to ourselves but is did get much busier as the morning progressed. Despite this, we never queued for more than 7 or 8 minutes.

This year the resort has been expanded significantly and in terms of ski trail kilometres it is now almost twice as big compared with previous seasons.

We found the resort was well managed by Grupo Aramon with modern and reasonably fast uphill transport. The runs were well prepared and some were surprisingly long (particularly the new ones).

It’s a small resort, but ideal for a day or two – especially as a warm up for a main ski holiday. Or if you are in the Valencia City area during winter it would make an interesting diversion from the beach!

Along with the sister resort of Javalambre (also worth a visit), there can be few other places where it really is possible (especially during the last half of the season) to ski in the morning and lie on a Mediterranean beach in the afternoon!

In conclusion, a real surprise to find a quality small ski resort close to the Mediterranean and Valencia city.

Disappointing
Mar 2015 • Keluarga
Limited skiing which would have been okay but for a Sunday akin to Piccadilly Circus. We arrived at ten am. and it was nearly two hours before we got on the slopes, Well over an hour queuing for skis and then another 35 minutes for the ski passes. With only nine pistes the ski passes were grossly overpriced and because of the volume of skiers, the pistes were carved up and wrecked by lunchtime. Monday started off well, nice piste bashed skiing with hardly anyone there, but to our dismay, there were chair/drag lifts closed as well as the drinking and eating places on the slopes. Only one cafe open by the car park. The authorities happy to keep everything open over the weekends but more of a skeleton service midweek.
