I was in Vilamoura for a week and I noticed the Golf Academy was nearby and highly recommended on Tripadvisor. I rarely get golf lessons but after a round at Monte Rei where I started very poorly, I thought why not get a lesson - it was nearby and what better way to spend an hour talking golf swing.
Neil has a great setup with a nice range on the Pestana golf course to hit into. He all the latest Trackman type equipment.
Neil has so much experience and I only had to hit a few balls before he had lazered into the key issue in my swing - lack of rhythm. He was able to back up his eye by showing me the data about my club and ball speed. He was honest that I would need to up my practice to train my swing before i could expect consistency on the course. But he gave me great confidence that I am on the right track and by focusing on rhythm and not going 120% every shot I would get consistency.
My only regret was that I was only in Vilamoura for the week so could not start a lesson plan but i hope to be back next summer for a check up and hopefully with a lower handicap!

Neil is a great golf coach and works just as hard on the mental side of the game as the physical. My chipping and putting have improved a great deal since we had a session on them.

Took 6 private lessons from Neil only 2 months after I started playing golf, will never forget these words after the first lesson: "It is a good thing that you have such a great hand-eye coordination, my god everything else is wrong", haha nice start, but no seriously he was right, looking back at the recordings of my lessons: really incredible what we achieved in just 6 lessons !
We all know this game can be extremely confronting yourself, as is one of the most valued part of the lessons I had from Neil, very confronting, but spot on and followed by a clear and sensible explanation, and if that isn't enough there is always the the use of video technology ;-)

If Neil's sessions had anything to do with that we are very pleased. The recordings we find to be a great tool for our clients; it is easy to wander off the path but the fact you can revisit each session and check for yourself what has happened, is really beneficial.

A great coach and skilled pedagogue
After some lessons with Neil, I can say that he is the best coach I ever have had. Neil explains verry easy the different parts of the swing and with small corrections make big improvements. For me as a low handicapper the biggest difference in my game after the lessons is his coaching advice. How to plan the attack of the green to keep the score as low as possible and how to keep statistics on the shots of a round to see where my biggest weaknesses is.

Neil has very interesting and unconventional teaching approach. His advice are on spot and put you on the right track. Regardless of your handicap he will improve your understanding of your game and ultimately your scores.
I was there with my teenage daughter for a week a we both enjoyed it very much.

I attended Neils short game boot camp and I have to say, with some additonal practise from me, this aspect of my game has improved. My putting especially has improved using a simple but very effective technique I learned at the camp. Can't recommend highly enough.

I have been using Neil’s coaching on and off for some years now. His depth of knowledge is first class but more importantly he explains the process.
I find it easier to retain tips, advice and instruction when I know how it has been arrived at.
Neil is very thorough and professional. Combine this with all the tech apparatus and teaching aids. A complete package and a joy to work with.

Just finished a course of 6 lessons at Golf Integrated Academy Vilamoura. Had previously had some golf lessons back in the UK but to be honest it hadn't really clicked for me and my golf was going nowhere.
Lessons at GIA with Neil exceeded all my expectations. Tuition is delivered in an informative but relaxed environment and, ably assisted by his wife Fiona, was both fun and motivational. Neil concentrated on improving my technique without dismantling my own game, but at the same time sensitively removing my bad habits along the way!
As well as concentrating on practical technique, Neil also offers an invaluable and interesting insight into the mental aspect of the game, imparting the knowledge he has no doubt gained from his own experience as a golf pro.
The emphasis however remains a focus on an enjoyment of the game at the same time as helping his client realise his or her potential.
Whether a complete beginner or an experienced golfer seeking to improve and take their game to the next level, I would highly recommend that Golf Integrated Academy is the place to be.

Neil is a superb golf coach. His coaching set up with the video is excellent and it means he is able to identify immediately what is happening and provide expert guidance to improve your game and correct faults. His is patient , positive and very knowledgeable. I've had golf lessons from others over the years but no one has helped me improve so much so quickly. Lessons with Neil are something to really look forward to and enjoy. Highly recommended.

Neil has dramatically improved my game. Practicing the techniques taught by Neil, on a regular basis, is guaranteed to reduce your score, and enabled me to enjoy my golf. I would highly recommend taking a session of lessons (or even one!)

Hi sorry for the delay. Depends on the individual child but the younger the better. We do short lesson for the younger ones since concentration tends to be shorter. The youngest client we have is 5. Hope this helps.

Hi my fiancé and myself are staying at Hilton Vialamoura between 7th and 14th May. We won't have our clubs - I'm 17 handicapper and not played for 6months due to back problem - Susan is virtual beginner although has had some basic tuition at local club.Looking for some tuition time over the week - can you help If so can you suggest and advise easiest way to find you. regards Joe and Susan

I would advise asking the hotel concierge if their shuttle bus is running to Vila Sol and if not a taxi should cost around Euro 10 each way. I stayed at the hotel and at Palmyra town house, I can not quite understand why you had to walk a mile back to the hotel in the sun feeling unwell from the Academy. How did you get to the training centre? If you were feeling unwell and needed to get to the hotel as quickly as possible, if you walk up the right hand side of the course adjacent to the range, you have the cover of the pine trees and it is exactly 540 metres back to the hotel, Sorry to hear that you were feeling unwell, but I am sure if Fiona or Neal could have helped you I'm sure they would of.
