This little hike is a MUST! Parking available most times. Don't be turned back by several keep out signs to the sides, just follow the path along the north side of the golf course down to the point. Be very careful as the ground is very rough and wear sturdy shoes. So much to see from views of Molokai to the tide pools teeming with little fish, crabs and crustaceans. Really cool pools that rise and fall up to ten feet as the waves come in and out. Watch for whales, Monk Seals and Eagle rays too!

Interesting geological formation right at the edge of the water. Beautiful location north of Kaanapali. Little bit of hiking involved. Take your camera

I was able to see several whale pods from this spot. Beautiful creatures, but bring binoculars to see more clearly.

What a beautiful, yet bizarre, landscape!

Thousands of years ago, ancient lava flows struck cool ocean waves and "froze" in the shape of tooth-like structures. Guests can walk alongside these "teeth" while enjoying gorgeous views of Honokahua Bay and the refreshing feeling of sea spray.

You will walk over rocks, but this is not a difficult walk. It's well worth the hour or so you'll spend there.

Dragon's Teeth is a unique lava flow that was influenced by high waves as the ancient lava flow hit the ocean. The wave energy at the time of the flowing lava was strong enough to curl up the edges of the lava before it cooled leaving these unique giant tooth-like structures. intriguing views at the edges and watching lapping waves above the blue ocean with sea breeze blowing through our hair. We were amazed to see sea urchins fossils shelled creatures and small fishes in the tide pools on the lava rocks. A large circle of stones just north of Dragon’s Teeth is a prayer labyrinth and it was interesting to watch visitors walking on it. It's a must when you are visiting Maui and you will be blown away with the scenic views.

Nice walk along the ocean on the lava to a peninsula…saw turtles swimming RIGHT near the edge. We actually walked this whole area as it was super cool. Jumped the rocks into the ocean on the left side of the peninsula. A FAVORITE thing on this Hawaii adventure. Just be careful climbing back up the rocks if you jump. The water was CLEAR and very very deep. Saw a couple locals diving in w/no issues. ♥️♥️♥️

We walked with my 81 and 84 year old parents. I read reviews saying to wear sneakers, etc. I didn’t pack sneakers, and had flip flops on, and it was an easy breezy walk out.

You do step on and over rocks, but go slow, and no issues.
Parking is easy, and the turnover of spots is fast.

We spent about an hour total, and it was just enough. No shade, but the ocean breeze and mist was refreshing.

Easy hike and cool rock formations. In all my travels I have not seen formations like this. I always find it eye opening when nature does unusual things like this. Best of all it is short and a free activity. The view of the ocean is also great if you are not happy with the rock formations.

What an unexpected treat. We walked down to the dragons teeth to kill some time. The rock formations from volcanic activity mixed with the blue water was very impressive. My teenagers enjoyed the caverns and tubes that filled with water and popped and splashed with each wave and to top that off we spotted three very large turtles below that were so nice to watch. If you stay at the Ritz and don’t walk down, you have missed out. It connects to the beach and the burger shack with fantastic shakes.
