I find the rental process for lift tickets & skis has been refined to perfection - the folks dishing out the boots & skis are EXCEPTIONAL. The on-site store for gear - PERFECTION!

The ski lift needs work - we know it needs work and you know it needs work - fix it. Better signage is needed for closed trails - more trails need to be opened.

Although the ski instructors seem good - we used the Freddy Frostivel ski instruction - that was a joke - they took our two kids on the bunny hill prior to being ready - 1 loved it and the other we may never get on skis again - she should have spent more time on the basics prior.

A great week of skiing while volunteering at the 2023 Canada Winter Games. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The hill has excellent runs for every level of skier. I can't wait to get a chance to come back and ski it again!

Well groomed trails. Friendly staff that were very kind. Felt pretty safe from Covid. Great beer garden!

We took a lesson from Brian at their ski school and it's the best lesson I have ever had. Highly recommend! I've been skiing for many years and he corrected my form so well that this was the first time in my life I skied for hours and never got a sore muscle. I no longer fight the hill.

Thanks to all the staff that made this one of the best skiing days I've ever had.

For many years my family had skied this mountain and having taught both of my children to enjoy and love the sport and people there, it was an awful slap in the face to be treated with such disrespect. Two weeks ago my 4 year old son left his boots under the bench causing us to leave them behind, our own fault. Once realized, my wife contacted the mountain to ask, if found, could they please put them aside until the following weekend when we would be back on the slopes. reluctant to accomodate, they impolitley told her that they are not a storage facility and don't have room for his little boots, they wanted us to drive back to the mountain to pick them up, an hours drive at 5pm with small children. The following week the flu hit our household so we never made it back to ski or to retrieve the boots. Excited to get back up there when all were feeling better we get a nastygram on our machine from the mountain as we were packing up the car threatening to give away his little boots to value village if we didn't get them. This is how the staff there convey appreciation toward our loalty and the thousands of dollars spent there over many years of visits. We are very disapointed in how this was handled and the lack of understanding and professionalism offered by those involved. We are also upset at the fact that we will no longer enjoy our family trips to the mountain knowing how poorly we were treated. An appology would be most welcomed, though not expected. Very sad. I certainly would not stand for my staff acting in such a manner of disrespect towards our customers. reputations can be ruined to quickly with all the social media outlets today. On a more constructive note, the hill is great but more training in public service is required.

Roads to get there in terrible shape.Whole system of different shacks for each purpose is confusing and outdated.Signage for chair lift and then to lodge is non existing.Go in to rent skis, wait in line only to have to be told you need to pay at another shack and wait in that line then go back to wait in line again to rent old worn out equipment. Not a really friendly staff.Highly not recommend to a friend.Been skiing for 36 years at many different slopes in N.B. and Quebec and this by far was the most unorganized and outdated.

I have fallen in love with Crabbe. I've lived in Fredericton for almost 20 years and tried skiing a handful of times without much success (I'm rather out of shape and have bad feet that hurt a LOT in rental ski boots). Now that my kids love snowboarding and my teen is instructing, I decided I'd better give skiing a serious try since I'm driving out there all the time. I got my own boots and have become a devoted skier.

I love that Crabbe is so relaxed and friendly (by New Brunswick standards) with a real sense of fun and playfulness. The guys who run the chair lift are great and helpful (one gets really into dancing to the retro music they play and always puts a smile on my face). The food service staff are great and the prices reasonable for quite good and pretty varied food, some of it healthy. There are always a few soups, chili, sandwiches and wraps, and grill items. They're famous for the Fix (poutine) and my son has discovered you can order popcorn chicken "fixed" with gravy and cheese (advisable only if you have the physique and arteries of an active 16-year-old snowboarder!).

Many of the runs are challenging and the set up with the parking lot and lodge at the top of the hill is weird for beginners. Beginners can have lessons on the really good and large bunny hill right across from the lodge (with excellent snow school instructors), but to move on to the mostly easy Family Trail, they have to get to the chairlift by going down a green "beginner" trail that has a pretty challenging part and is really a lower level intermediate run. Kids never seem to have a problem with it, but I'd suggest first time adults start at Poley Mountain (near Sussex), which has a lot of very easy beginner trails. (I was just there for the first time and found that all their trails are much easier than those of the same designation at Crabbe. I skied a couple of black diamonds -- admittedly probably the easiest of their black diamonds -- with no problem and I wouldn't contemplate one at Crabbe yet. I find a couple of the intermediate trails at Crabbe slightly more challenging than the black diamonds I did at Poley.) There are terrain parks that my kids love and several official gladed trails, as well as more densely wooded areas where skiers/boarders far more adventurous than me are allowed to play. The headwalls on King's Horn and Harold's Fun Run look terrifying.

Other reviewers said the staff were not very helpful and the signage was bad. I'll agree about it being a confusing set up not really designed for first time visitors without experienced friends, and (like most places in NB) it doesn't seem to occur to staff that you might be a confused first time visitor (the vast majority of skiers/boarders are local, repeat visitors and season pass holders).

This assumption that everyone is already familiar with the place is not unique to Crabbe. Having come "from away" (a mid-sized Midwestern U.S. city where people tend to be outgoing and service providers are proactively helpful), I've found that native New Brunswickers are reserved and seem to forget not everyone has multi-generational roots in the area and knows everything there is to know. (A new Fredericton restaurant once advertised on the radio and didn't mention where it was located, as if the city were still so tiny that a new business couldn't open without everyone noticing.) Most staff have been there a long time and there are lots of regulars at Crabbe who know each other and socialize in the lodge, so it can be a bit intimidating being a newcomer, but in my experience staff and other visitors have been very helpful and kind when I've asked questions -- I've just had to get over my embarrassment and be upfront about not knowing what I'm doing rather than trying to fake it.

Always a great day trip for those within an hour or so distance from the hill. One of better ski hills in New Brunswick considering how few we have.

When we first got to the mountain it was very confusing as to where to go. You had to go and get your tickets leave that building go get your rentals. Leave that building and go back to the first building and get ready for the day. If you needed to use the washroom had to go into another building. I had to keep asking where to go. They should have signage as to what to do for first timers at crabbe.
When we got our stuff ready we were confused as to where to go from there didn't realize that the ski lift was at the bottom of the mountain.
It was a great experience just wish it was laid out a little better with signage.
The cafeteria food is way over priced. Paid $10 for a hamburger with nothing on it. Beer prices were average. Was nice to see a live band at the lodge.
