This is the best location where to enjoy a beautiful 360 degrees panorama of the whole island. It can be easily reached by asphalted road or alternative walking paths. It is usually quite and really deserves a visit if you are in Pantelleria.

This was the most pleasant surprise of Pantelleria. It's about an hour drive to the top of the mountain from the city center, but the flora changes dramatically. The temperatures drop significantly, and the landscape becomes heavily forested. There are number of places with tables and benches to stop and enjoy a picnic. Provided the weather is clement, the view is fabulous as you can see the entire island. If you have a local or tour guide, you can see the hidden cave. There is also a grotto at the summit. The mountain is a great get-away for hiking enthusiasts. The locals like to hunt for mushrooms on the mountain. but--be careful--many mushrooms are poisonous. Also, there is a interesting local tradition. Pantellerians (Pantuscans) travel up to the mountain to collect green moss for their Christmas nativity scenes.
