These are touted as some of the best beaches in Tuscany and I think they area! The sea is fresh and cool even in August and there are miles of walking. I think the sunset views are some of the best I've ever seen!

Long clean beach with excellent restaurants and the old part of the town in walking distance.
The old castle fortress at the top of the hill and breathtaking panorama over the town is beautiful at sunset. On clear days you can see the Island of Elba...we had a wonderful stay and next time plan a longer holiday here. Day trips to many cities and towns all within 2 or 2 and half hour drive at the most...perfect!

Lovely place to go with friends and family. Nice setting. Great shopping restaurants and walking areas. We hope to go back in the future.

We really enjoyed swimming and relaxing on this great beach. Nice water and sand with a gorgeous coastal view. We had a great time! We will go back.

We were only here for one day, to take a bath and see the medieval town. The town is very picturesque and the beach is nice as well. We made the mistake of having dinner at a place by the beach and they were all pretty basic. Later discovered several very romantic outdoor restaurants in the old part.

This is not so much about Bagno Castiglione as about Castiglione della Pescaia itself. Seeing as I live here I am sorely tempted to keep the good reviews to myself, but out of loyalty to fellow Tripadvisor travellers I will just say come and see for yourself. Castiglione is a small village (pop 7,000) for most of the year, but a booming seaside resort in July and August (pop 70,000 and up) so choose your timing carefully according to your tastes and budget, because prices skyrocket in high season. In the spring and autumn you can easily rent an apartment for four persons for about 50€ per day, and still benefit from some 15 kilometers of unspoilt beaches, 30,000 hectares of woodland to hike or mountain bike in, a golf course or two and plenty of wind for kite surfing, sailing. Of course, if you're a more peaceful nature you can just relax or go fishing.

I wish that someone had reviewed a local beach before my husband and I trotted off on our own with no knowledge of Italian beaches.
So here it goes, I hope it helps you!
First of all, the entire beach is lined with private beach "clubs," all you see up and down the coast is sections of different colored umbrellas.
We werent sure what differentiated all of them so we ended up picking out the one closest to our hotel. We werent sure about the pricing though so we took a picture of the sign and took it home to decipher using our ipad =)
As it turns out you can rent by the day, week, month or season. You can also rent different types of lounges and umbrellas.
It also turns out that they will negotiate half day rates if you show up a little later in the afternoon.
We asked for a lounge in the first row and they were happy to oblige; they also recognized us every day we came back and gave us the same seat.
They had a snack bar complete with both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, as well changing rooms and bathrooms
We sat on the beach for several days, snacked, drank, watched the locals play with soccer balls and paddle boards. We actually bought a paddle ball set from one of the many vendors walking around, turns out we werent nearly as good as the locals but it was fun. The time we spent there was one of the many highlights of our honeymoon!
Last piece of advice, bring your own towels!!

Now we have returned many times to this bathroom especially for the restaurant the welcome of all the staff and kindness. A special mention to the cook Marco for the skill on the preparation of the dishes of great quality really good and the staff always available polite and welcoming really good at the next!
