I very recently had the pleasure of visiting the Godstone Vineyard for bubbles and afternoon tea. Situated in a tranquil location, I was able to enjoy quality time with my family. The hosts were very attentive, and provided a fantastic selection of savoury snacks and sweet treats. However, the star of the show was the vineyard’s sparkling wine. I would highly recommend visiting the Godstone vineyard and will definitely be returning for more cheese and wine. Thank you for a fantastic visit!

We booked to come to the vineyard for my husband’s birthday. As soon as we got out of the taxi we all realised that we were not quite in for the experience we hoped for - the website photos make the vineyard look far more upmarket than it actually is. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, and then we were told they would not be serving any hot food as the ovens were broken. Considering I had booked, it would have been nice if someone phoned to advise us of this as we would have cancelled our booking. Now stranded, we had to order two Ubers as we were a party of 6 to come and collect us and take us to another local restaurant. We spent over £40 is taxis, there was very little apology from staff and to be honest I would never go back.

I am incredibly sorry that your visit was so disappointing, it is clear that we failed and I offer you my sincere apologies. Unfortunately on this particular weekend we were suffering from acute labour shortages and it was impossible to find replacement staff at short notice. I realise that we could have done more especially in your case by contacting you beforehand to explain the situation. Lovely afternoon spent at Vineyard today. Ideal meeting up spot for me and my daughters just off the M25. Yes you hear the motorway but you soon get used to it. Very friendly service and although menu is small the lasagne and cheese board followed by syrup sponge and custard was lovely. All washed down with a bottle of their sparkling wine. The cream tea looked lovely so hopefully a return visit soon. Thank you

Enjoyed a glass of socially distanced sparkling and scones on the outdoor deck with family. Food and drinks ok but service horrendous. In door area also very rundown and in much need of renovation.
We have a 7 and 5 year old who played in the surrounding grass and car park area while we ate. They were making a stone collection and building fairly houses with sticks. Behaving quiet, polite and well mannered. The owner who is an old lady came out and was extremely rude to us and our children because they had picked up some stones from the car park! She demanded they put them back in an aggressive stern tone that caused our youngest to cry. If that wasn’t enough after we paid, she came back out to continue the scolding..... “I seen them put stones in their pockets, I want them to take them out”. Honestly the 4 adults were positively shocked.
Given the circumstances of the pandemic I believe establishments should appreciate every customer that ventures out and make them feel welcome. Beyond their cafe we could have invested in their wine but after this very disappointing client experience they have lost at least 2 families future business.
Priorities are all wrong! No hospitality.

The road off Caterham By Pass is very rough but there is a large car park, seating outside and inside . The menu is not long but there is enough for an enjoyable light meal , cakes, coffee and tea and wine of course. The north downs path runs nearby but we just walked around the small vineyard in the sunshine. We were given an informative leaflet about this which was useful.

My boyfriend and I always plan a country walk on a Sunday so this week was no different except for our stop-in at Godstone Vineyards! Mid-walk or towards the end we normally (always) pop into a pub but yesterday we were delighted to stumble across something a little bit different. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of English Sparkling wine and a cheese platter. We also treated ourselves to the cream tea - great experience enjoyed overlooking wonderful scenery - you'll have to excuse the M25 but what else do you expect only being 30mins from central London! The vineyard is run by two ladies who were extremely welcoming. We weren't in any great rush so didn't mind the short wait between our wine arriving and the cheese platter - both were well worth the wait and it reminded us to take a minute to slow down! We loved the Woldingham Country Walk so will more than likely pop in again when we move to the area in the new year.

The welcome was warm on a cold day. The wines were delicious and well worth the visit on their own.

Such friendly ladies, delicious cake and only a few mins from the north downs way. Sat and enjoyed the view with a glass of local cider.

Came here during the lovely weather in February this year. We have never been before but it was recommended to me by a friend. Initially we popped in for a deliciously freshly baked scones and pot of tea. However the weather was so glorious and we were so enjoying sitting looking at the beautiful views we stayed for a glass of wine. I opted for the home white and my husband a local rose. Both were very palatable. Would highly recommend this place. We will return next time or something from this simple but looks very tasty lunch menu.

Thank you for this glowing report of your visit. We put an enormous amount of work into looking after our environment and so this feedback is very reassuring. We have come a long way but there is still a great deal to do and no room on our part for complacency. We intend to make the vineyard a stunning area to visit along the North Downs Way for present and future generations. Hope to see you again.

Spent a lovely afternoon at Godstone Vineyard. Really lovely cafe, really good atmosphere. Had a cheese platter and Godstones dry white wine. A rare sunny october day. Will be back. Jess and Paul xx

Thank you for your enquiry. I have it on good advice that pies are indeed very popular with the Frenchies, however these are recessionary times so we have had to cut back on pastry. I trust that this will not detract from your customer experience at Godstone Vineyards. We always aim to please.

Yes, no problem in the vineyard or on our outdoor terraced area - on a lead - however we don't allow dogs within the shop due to health and safety regulations.
