This place seems to be one of the more culturally focused places in Halmstad. The building cantilevers over the river. On 25 Feb 2017, it hosted a fly fishing expo. There were 8-10 companies with gear and 10-15 professional/hobbyist fly tyers. It was packed. They have books in multiple languages. They have a nice cafe as well.

Art in different ways

If you are interested in culture - you can get it is several ways here. You can visit the art exhibitions, and at the same time read a book, or maybe you read the international newspapers being there (for free). Being hungry there is a cafeteria.

This is a part of the central library in Halmstad. Many times you can find interesting exhibitions here, and at the same time you can use the library services.

Stop by for some modern art

It is easy to visit Halmstad Konsthall. No fee. Here you can se mostly swedish modern art, sometimes local. It is small, but the exhibitions are often interesting - ask the staff for info! They are happy to guide you. It is located in the city library, a stunning building at the river Nissan.

We love this hall since it is not too large. The art they show is just so much that you can make it in one day.
