This is a perfect place to spend a day. We walked along broadwalk and captured pictures of stunning rock formations. There are also few nice beaches and restaurants at this place.

Occasionally rather busy. Without viewing everything, you could easily spend an hour here. Kayaks and tourist boats are frequently spotted peering down into the little, picturesque coves below. The sea is a really attractive green/blue color. Gorgeous at dusk.

Beautiful walk- all paved with slates so easily accessible. It’s worth going down the 200 steps to the bottom to see the cave!

Nice hike from Lagos old city. Long board walk available with various lookout points. Worth a visit. Make sure you wear shoes as it is quite a long walk from Lagos old city.

Nice walk with many different viewpoints to admire the amazing coastline from the top.
But it's better to go for a boattrip in between the beautiful rockformations along the coastline.
Go for a small private "family" boat from one of the nearby beaches.
They can manoeuver through the small caverns and overhangs and get you to the bedt places.

This is super close to Lagos and I’d highly recommend visiting this lookout! At the time we went, the beach was closed off however the lookout is worth it.

Very easy walk/hike alongside the coast with beatiful views. All the roads are walk-friendly and free parking is available very close to the trail.

Lovely views - quiet at this time of the year but probably difficult to take a photo when it's busy in high season. We walked through the back streets of the town to the car park at Ponta da Piedade and then back to Lagos on the boardwalk. We didn't think the walking trail was very well signposted at some parts so possibly better with a map. However the whole experience was great.

Es sind einige wenige Kilometer zu Fuß - Weg auf der Straße. Ab einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt kann man an der Steilküste entlang. Das lohnt sich.

We are going to Lagos, Portugal late December 2021 to January 2022 - are tourist activities opened for business OR does Lagos tourist attractions close for winter/Christmas/off season?

Are the small boats that tour the caves still running? (Early sept 2020). We visited a couple of years ago and walked down the steps at the point and took a boat tour; just walk up and pay... are they running at the moment? Prefer to do that than a tour out of Lagos...

Only if you follow signs back into town & then to the beaches. You cannot swim from the actual spot that is Ponte de Piedade. It is all steep cliffs. Absolutely no jumping because they would have to pick up pieces at the bottom. Drive back into town please and follow the signs.

Hi, we will be visiting Ponta da Piedade in the middle of march on a friday afternoon. Will there be small boats there on-site that we don't have to book ahead, or are those only an option during tourist season? Also, anyone know of any kayak tours that (safely) allow children under 5 to Ponta Da Piedade? We have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old. Thanks

Hi there! As far as I know, there are no boats on-site where you just can hop in for a tour. I think most of them are in Lagos Marina. I suggest that you ask your hotel for tours. They can help you book one. Or check tour agencies by the marina.

Hi guys, I'll be staying in Faro in August for a few days and wish to see Lagos. Is there a train from Faro to Lagos ??

Hi, this is from a local website and not my own words: Faro is connected to Lagos by the Algarve regional railway and Lagos is the final station along the line. The journey takes 1 hour 45 minutes and a single ticket costs €7.40. ... These tickets cannot be pre-booked as this is a regional train, but there is always plenty of space on the train.
