What an AMAZING DAY we spent with Luca! He brought our entire family of 10 to some of the most amazing wineries in Tuscany. A day of a lifetime. Would highly recommend him!! Was the best day we had in Italy.

We spent a fantastic day yesterday with Luca touring Tuscany. We visited a goat farm tasting cheeses, strolled around beautiful San Gimignano, sampled olive oils at a winery, and observed alabaster artists in Volterra as they created masterpieces. Luca was incredibly accommodating, patient, and knowledgeable. We can’t recommend him highly enough and would not hesitate booking with him again.

The one on one personal experience we had with Luca was very special. The wineries we visited, and the food we ate were fabulous. Luca’s knowledge, experience and engaging personality made the entire day a joy! We will highly recommend Hills and Roads tours to everyone.

Another remarkable day with Luca touring through Tuscany. I have booked Luca for transfers and tours many times over the past few years. A few years ago, we spent a day touring several hill towns in Tuscany and participated in a visit to a delightful farm where he organized a private cheese tasting. Fantastic!
This year we toured the countryside around the town of Lucca, and had lunch seaside. Another fabulous tour day!
Luca has as a deep knowledge of the Tuscan area and has lots of interesting facts and stories to share.
Each trip, Luca has also provided transfers to and from the Florence airport to my destinations in the Tuscan hills. He is reliable, punctual, personable and trustworthy. ( **this is extremely important for a solo traveler!)
Without hesitation, I would recommend Luca and Hills and Roads tours and will absolutely book him again for my next trip to Tuscany. Alla Prossima!

Lovely experience. Private Tuscany Vineyard Tour. Wine tasting, goat cheese tasting were all enjoyed.

This is my third tour with Luca … 2016, 2019, and May 2022. Each has been perfect and memorable. Luca takes you to interesting places that you would never find on your own or with other tour companies. I consider Luca part of the family.
We were a group of 9 and Luca used 2 vans. Christiano drove the second van and he was great too.
Don’t look any further. Book Luca today !!!

We had the pleasure of spending a day traveling from Florence to medieval towns, lunch at a winery with tour and a monastery. Luca was our guide and he was fabulous- very informative, personable and eager to tailor the trip to our interests. I cannot emphasize enough the quality of this experience. We will return to Italy and Luca will be the first call we make!!

We used Luca 10 years ago when we visited for our 20 th with kids in tow with another couple. Amazing way to transfer between cities with a transfer tour! Private wine tasting on our way from Florence to Venice was amazing and we still talk about it today! We are planning on going back once it’s safe to travel and happy to see them still in business and will use them again! It made going from city to city more comfortable and fun.

I think I came across Lucas company from travel and leisure, and I’m greatly i did. It was somewhat last minute and between Christmas and New Years so I appreciate the planning Luca provided.
He picked us up on time from the hotel and arranged an itinerary of two wineries in Chianti, both of which were excellent. We also walked with him through a medieval town and he provided excellent knowledge of the area.
Early communication was a little delayed but around the holidays I was t surprised.
I felt his pricing was reasonable and I would not hesitate to recommend him or use Hilo’s and roads again!

Hi, I paid by paypal and now hoping we can reach Lucca. I have emailed with the hopes of being confirmed and contacted. Please call immediately reservation 10/29 but have not received any email back for over 10 days now.

is there such a thing as a transfer bus from florence / pisa to siena when we are just 2 adults and a baby travelling? can only find information about group bookings?

Just seeing your question now. I hope it is not too late to answer. There are bus and train connections from Florence (in the city). I cannot include links or websites but google italylog and discoverytuscany for their articles about getting from florence to siena and getting to siena without a car.

How to contact for information. Website not operative. Is business still operating?
We are planning to be in Tuscany for five days beginning October 1 or 2, and prefer not to rent a car. Reviews have been complimentary but cannot contact Hills and Roads.
Want to stay in Chianti at least for two days or more. Not sure to just select a base city for accommodation utilizing Luca's service for all transportation needs or to stay somewhere else for a two days.
Question is: is the business still operating?

Sorry, just seeing your question. They are still in operation. the site name is hillsandroads with com suffix (trip advisor does not allow links or websites, so I cannot spell it out). Sometimes you will see hillsandroadstuscany - that does not work
