All kinds of vendors and merchandise, make for a sometimes sublime and sometimes gritty street scene. Great for people watching. Just wander around.

I visited this area, expecting a busy, vibrant market, full of stalls selling fresh fruit, fish and vegetables. Instead, I got a fairly uninspiring mix of small stalls, most with not much to offer and it is more of a tourist trap, rather than a typical Sicilian market. That said, I did have lunch in 1 of the restaurants and the food was good. It is not somewhere I would definitely recommend, as there are better markets in Palermo but if you happen to be in the area, it's worth a quick look. It did get very busy and packed, so it it probably a hot spot for pickpockets, so be aware.
