Our B&B Sant’Agostino was a couple blocks south of the market, which we visited several times. I wish I could tell you the individual names of the restaurants, but I can assure you you’ll eat well. I had great pasta, prawns, cannoli, and a caprese sandwich for one euro that I still dream about. One of Europe’s oldest markets, very colorful. Don’t miss it.

If in Palermo, visit the market, even if you don’t stop to eat. We did and were pleasantly surprised. It is very busy and crowded, keep valuables out of sight. Most of the stalls sell similar stuff but it’s interesting to see and sample local life and it’s free.
