It's a bridge
Agt 2020
As bridges go this is a fine example with lovely sculpture at each end, the river is 410km long but here it flows fast and rises and falls very quickly

my favorite of the bridges in Verona
Okt 2019
This bridge drops you off in the centro storico right in the heart of the action, near shopping and restaurants.

We ended up on this bridge almost daily, whether we were riding in a taxi, riding on a bus, or walking.

I think there's a gelateria right at the foot of the bridge on the centro storico side.

This bridge is easily recognizable by the two bronze equestrian statues on the centro storico side.

Major Verona sunset spot!
Feb 2019 • Pasangan
Literally “Victory Bridge”: this beautiful 1920s white stone 111m long arch bridge over river Adige, decorated with 4 majestic bronze equestrian statues, is named after the “Vittorio Veneto” WWI battle which secured the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It is a major Verona observation spot overlooking on one side the magnificent Castelvecchio 1300s castle and on the other the “Torricelle” hills, San Giorgio in Braida” church with its recognizable dome and the hilltop sanctuary “Santuario della Madonna di Lourdes”; Needless to say sunsets here are magical; Beneath the horses you can find 4 WWI related reports: amongst them one from king Vittorio Emanuele III and most notable the “Bollettino della Vittoria”, the final address to the army and the nation issued by the Chief of Staff, General Armando Diaz ending with the famous words: “The remnants of what was one of the world's most powerful armies are returning in hopelessness and chaos up the valleys from which they had descended with boastful confidence”.

Bridge into the city

We walked over the river on this bridge upon arrival in Verona. It has four great sculptures...two on either end that are worth checking out.

Sculptures are the Standout
Apr 2018 • Pasangan
We crossed this bridge over the Adige River to start our walking tour. Frankly, if it were not for the four sculptures at the extremes it would be like any other ordinary bridge. It was initially built in 1931 to celebrate the victory of Vittorio Veneto in WWI. It was destroyed by the Germans during WWII, later rebuilt and reopened in 1953. The four equestrian sculptures symbolise the victory.

Fine bridge

Although this bridge goes plain in comparison with some more historic bridges of Verona, it's still a very nice piece of architecture. Also, it provides great views.

Nice Sculptures and Views
Des 2016 • Pasangan
I don't consider this bridge -- one of many that span the Adige River -- to be a Verona standout. In fact, it pales in comparison with its neighbor Ponte Scaligero. And it offers little historical significance, initially going up in 1931 and then being rebuilt after the retreating Germans destroyed the structure in 1945.

But I found the equestrian statues at each entrance to be compelling and well worth a look. The views also present good photo ops. I liked seeing the panorama of the old city on one side and modern Verona on the other side. When I stood in the middle of the bridge, I had a perfect view of Castelvecchio and the Scaligero span.

Ponte della Vittoria was named for the World War I victory at Vittorio Veneto in 1918. The three-arch bridge is composed of concrete that has been coated by a stone similar to marble.

Just another nice Verona's bridge
Okt 2014 • Pasangan
Bridge of low artistic importance and little cultural content, obviously if your city tour starts here you will be immediately amazed by the spectacular panoramic view that this city offers at every corner, but in Verona there is much more of a normal bridge. Perhaps what makes it worthy of note are the sculptures placed along it. Low profile attraction.

It's not about the bridge, it's the sculptures
Sep 2013 • Pasangan
This bridge stopped me in my tracks! While they may not be ancient sculptures, the shear energy captured in each of these different sculptures is fascinating. Three characters - the horse, the man and the woman in different poses in the four sculptures. Tricky to fully appreciate - get too close and you lose the overall impact, but too far away (to avoid getting run over!) and detail is lost. But all this makes them all the more compelling. Frustrated that I could find NO information about them or the sculptor. One of my favourite memories of Verona, and something that calls me back.
