Amazing & beautiful. Locals tell how it is the most perfect piazza in Italy. Each side is a mirror image of the other. It is quite impressive for a city of 60-70,000 people, though it is the provincial capitol.

It's big, it is so symmetric and it is lovely on Tuesday when you have to local market, filling the plaza with authentic Italian atmosphere ...
Looking north,south and west will bring you mountains to the east you'll end up on a roundabout ;-)

Magnificent square

I was impressed by the size of this square, which is lined by shops in the cool, shady arcades typical of the region. Though it was sunny, it was very pleasant walking around the square during the day. In the evening the square was filled with people celebrating 14 July.

Not much really to say about this attraction. It is in a large open air court. Great photo ops, lots of energy from the people in the area. Short walk down the street to a variety of resturaunts.

Piazza of the Center of Cuneo

This is the main Piazza in Cuneo. You encounter it when you enter the main gate of town. The piazza is very large and very impressive. there is a center statue and beautiful houses around, including some hotels. The mountains on the horizon, especially when covered with snow, are a wonderful addition to the pleasure.

Huge Central Square

As others have commented, Cuneo's central square is much larger than one might expect for a city of this modest size overall. It's also quite grand, with ornate old buildings surrounding it. There's a great Christmas market and light show set up here during the holidays. A massive Tuesday market that draws from all over northwestern Italy is held here. Festivals, concerts and various celebrations are also hosted here. The train station is convenient to the square. There is quite a bit of (paid) parking, although I wouldn't call it "ample" by any means.

Very big square for such small city it look like is in some city that has 1 million inhabitants. Because of that is pretty empty. despite that look very charming.

Lively (excellent cafés and sweets production), not too interesting as far as architecture is concerned.

The best piazza with arcades and Via Roma to walk through!

The best part of Cuneo is around that piazza where starts the pedestrian Via Roma starts. Stroll under the arcades, but be aware of traffic crossing on the painted pavement, even if you have the priority there to cross. The street market happens off the northern side of the piazza on Tuesday after 9am.

The square is an impressive sight and pleasant to walk around. Also great to visit on market day (Tuesday) when the whole square and a number of side streets are packed with stalls. On Sunday the road around the square was closed and we watched children competing in cycle races - this square is clearly not just a big municipal space but a center for local activity.
