You should buy the two museum pass. Worth the drive and the cars are fabulous. Amazing cars and the history is wonderful

The second of the 2 Ferrari museums. This one is a 5/10 minute walk from Modena station so easy to get to. Located in Enzo Ferraris old home and a state of the art complex. Predominately the classic Ferraris and what a wonderful sight they are! Well worth a visit for any car enthusiast.

Nice visit but there were nice cars to see here. We came here as a surprise for our boys who are Ferrari fans. The enjoyed the trip especially the Maranello one. We arrived in the morning having took the train and walked to the museum, which took minutes.
We took the shuttle bus to Maranello which have more cars to see and I think are better of the two, we ended with a simulator experience (at an additional cost). We took the bus back to the Enzo museum. It was nice to see a few more cars there.
It was blazing hot and I went to the cafe to get a couple of bottles of water. I was 2nd in the queue and got my purse out waiting to pay after the 1st customer. However, the lady cashier blanked me when it was my turn and took the order of the family queuing behind me! I thought what’s going on? They ordered, paid and then she moved on to the next customer after them, still ignoring me. I was gobsmacked!! I then said to her I want to pay for the water, she then said we have a queue here, in a very unconvincing way that I think she knew she was in the wrong. I don’t know why she was being so rude, totally blanked me as if I was invisible. She really shouldn’t be serving customers. At the end I put €4 down by the till and left. If management is reading this, the cashier was at the till on 15/8/23, at about 3.30pm. A lady with dark hair with thin lips. That completely ruined my experience with the Ferrari brand and the museums. I was fully enjoying the day my family until that point. Everyone else was so polite and friendly. She was the only let down of the experience.

Although the scenery is nice and the shown car beautiful, the history content of this great brand is rather tin (we would have expected much more depth wrt. Enzo Ferrari’s life, his family situation, his hands on involvement in the upbringing of the business. You’re basically done in an hour, where we would have guessed much more history to be exposed. Not fun fact: 7 minute simulated ride is more expensive than the entrance ticket ???

Great experience for any Ferrari fans - lots of gorgeous cars on display next to the original building where Ferrari built his engines - budget a good hour to enjoy the experience. Arrive early to find parking...

I can only write that when you are inside the big saloon you will feel like in heaven. Ferrari's museum should be in all the italian museums routs.

A must visit when in Italy and the Emilia-Romagna region. This museum focuses primarily on the founder Enzo Ferrari and changes often. Since I planned on visiting both museums in one day I was here right when they opened. I spent about 3 hours here just drinking in the beauty of the works of art on display and taking detailed photographs but you could do it in an hour or an hour and a half if you wanted.
For me the highlight was seeing my 2 favorite Ferraris in person: a 1969 GTB4 Daytona Spyder, and a 1984 Testarossa. Why are they my favorites? Because I saw them on Miami Vice back in the day. Never mind the ones in the show were initially knock offs, but hey. The Daytona was in its original condition after sitting in a barn in Japan for 40 years and is waiting to be restored. I also got to see my first F40 in person.
After lunch nearby I headed to the Museo Ferrari Maranello, in Maranello about 13 miles or 20 kilometers away. Both museums can easily be done in a day and I even took public transportation, by bus.

I am not a car enthusiast but this was a well put together museum and I enjoyed myself more than I thought I would. I learned a lot about the history of Ferrari & the evolution of the cars.

Went to this with our duly son who loves F1. We all enjoyed the visit. Not too big and the cars are displayed beautifully in the new building.

If i were to solo travel from Paris / Milan to this museum, where should i stay? Is it bologna? I think i need at least 2 days to explore lambo, ferrari and pagani. Thinking of finding a centre point to stay. Transportation wise, is jt easy to find taxi there?

Hi,
Bologna Airport is between Bologna and Modena. If you are coming just for lambo, ferrari and pagani, no need to stay in Bologna. As Jarle (in his answer) said, stay in Modena. My advice you to rent a from Bologna Airport. It will be more convenient.
Don't forget that Ferrari has two museums, one in Modena and one in Maranello. Enjoy...

I’ll be visiting with my 12 year old son, who is a HUGE motor sports fan. Does anyone have suggestions regarding which of the two museums to spend the majority of the time in (the shuttle times don’t make for an equally split day)? If it helps, I’d say he’s more interested in current cars than historical. And is there any difference in the simulator experience offered at each - they’re different prices, but I don’t know if that’s a reflection of demand or quality. Thanks for your input!

Is the museum walking distance from the train station? Is it also walking distance to city center?

My only negative impression of the museum had to do with the
English translation device I rented. I found the ambient noise level in the museum overwhelmed the audio output so that it was, for me, useless. I am fairly old and my hearing may be a bit suspect but I would try the device out before paying for it to insure that it works for you.
