It was not my first time and it won't be the last! I had taken her class before with a friend, but this time I booked it with my Mom who is 83 and my two sisters. One famously "did not get the cooking gene" but we all had the best experience. We started at the Testaccio market where we had a coffee, discussed the menu, and did a bit of shopping. Then we went to her lovely home and spent the next few hours prepping, cooking, discussing food and then of course the moment when we get to eat the meal. So satisfying! What a way to experience Rome and the culture.
Did I say that I can't wait to go back?!!!

We had a wonderful time cooking with Daniela. She even shared with us a recipe for a dish her grandmother made with peppers, capers and olives. We prepared caccio e pepe, veal saltimbuca, peppers with capers and olives. For dessert we prepared a ricotta and dark chocolate cake. She even surprised us with her homemade chocolate Gelato. One of our favorite meals In Rome. Thank you so much Daniela. 💗

Daniela's Cooking School is a must! Truly one of the best experiences. We enjoyed walking the local market to purchase the fresh ingredients, learning her cooking techniques that we can apply at home, making plenty of food that was very delicious all while enjoying each others company around the table. The class was easy to follow and you feel at home with Daniela. Truly an amazing time!

I spent 7 weeks in Europe this summer and my 2 classes w/ Daniela in Rome were big highlights. 1st off, Daniela is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met and immediately makes you feel like family upon meeting. She is incredibly welcoming into her beautiful Roman home and makes learning simple/delicious Italian recipes fun-- and for a novice cook like me-- very doable! I especially enjoyed making pastas/sauces from scratch and am already having lots of fun practicing back here in the states. She was also kind enough to send me a follow up email on all of the dishes we practiced with detailed recipes/instructions so I wouldn't forget. 10/10 experience and truly recommend this for anyone who wants an intimate, unique and incredibly valuable cooking/learning opportunity in the heart of Rome. Grazie, Daniela!!

I would give this a 10 if it was an option. We took this with our cousins. This was an amazing experience and so much more than a cooking class. Daniela welcomes you into her home and class is in her kitchen. You have multiple menus from which to choose and each is amazing! We selected the Roman menu because we wanted to make some classic Roman dishes…and we did!
We cooked, sliced, laughed, learned, reminisced about family meals and foods, made homemade pasta na picked fresh herbs from her garden.
It felt more like a family gathering than a class…because every gathering ends up in the kitchen right?
When we were done we were seated at a beautifully set table and enjoyed being served the meal we and just help to create along with perfectly pared wines.
I apologize that we didn’t get pics of every dish! We were so engaged that we kept forgetting to take pics!
If you want a true Italian cooking experience…this is it.

Our family had a wonderful experience learning to cook an exquisite Italian meal with Daniela. She is so kind, humorous and patient, with an obvious love for people and sharing delicious food! Our time in her lovely home and kitchen has been the highlight of our trip to Italy. Grazie mille Daniela!!

I am a food blogger and a cookbook author, but I am always seeking to learn and expand my experience. I selected Daniela's Cooking School due to her excellent reviews. Daniela and Ilaria are such delightful human beings, and both are amazing cooks, and excellent teachers. My lesson was private, with my husband. We made pizzeles (fried pizza from Naples), cavatelli with roasted tomato and basil confit, suppli, and a chocolate ricotta cake. Each course was delicious, and something easily approachable to a home cook. We laughed, we cooked, we became friends! I could not recommend a lesson from Daniela more highly!!!

Amazing cooking class, highlight of our 2 week trip to Italy. Very educational and the food we made was amazing, can’t wait to try cooking it myself at home. Highly recommend!

Daniela’s class was a highlight of our trip! We felt like friends being welcomed into her home, learning her family recipes, and eating delicious food that we made! Can’t wait to try her recipes at home.

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience with Daniela (and her son Francesco as a bonus!). Not only did we learn so much about Italian cooking, but it was so nice to get to know the two of them and be welcomed into their home. We’re very excited to go home and try the recipes and can’t wait to come back and take another class. I cannot recommend Daniela’s Cooking School enough. Grazie mille!
