It was a good class in a small group. We learned useful tips, had a nice evening and got recipes for usage at home.

This was a great class with our 3 grandkids (ages 9, 9, 10). We all had a blast and loved every moment of it. Sarah our instructor was wonderful and she made the class fun and entertaining. The pizzas and gelato we made were delicious

We spent two amazing weeks in Italy, and the family picked this as their absolute favorite activity. Our teacher was wonderful at engaging everyone from a confident 5 year old to a 43 year old without much cooking experience. The food was amazing, and I felt like we really learned a ton. Would do it again (maybe pizza?) in a heartbeat.

My husband and I had so much fun in this class! Alessandro was an excellent teacher, patient and helpful! If we are able to come back to Rome we will definitely take class again! I would love to do something like this with our children, son-in-laws, and grandchildren in California!

So much fun! This was our first cooking class and it was ‘Perfetto’! Chef Davide is engaging and very skillful— we learned a lot. Our pizzas and gelato turned out deliciously. The location and cucina are beautiful — and we enjoyed our small group very much, too. Highly recommend for a very special and memorable experience!

My husband and I had the most amazing time with Sara! Not only did we make 2 delicious pastas but the best tiramisu we have ever eaten plus we received the recipes in order to make it at home! Sara was kind, entertaining and very knowledgeable! We highly recommend!

I'm not sure if we just took this tour on an off day based on all of the 5 star reviews, or if other people writing reviews have not done tours like this before, or specifically in Italy. As avid travelers, whom have done cooking classes all over the world and many times in Italy, I can say this really is not a 5 star tour unfortunately. For the listed price PP and the location significantly far outside of the city center, we had high expectations.
To start: you have to take the train to outside the city center, approx 35 min train ride. Then we were picked up by a young girl who offered no warm welcome, no introduction, just "I will drive you to the class location about 15 minutes."
When you arrive, you are let off of the van and again, no direction given, we just followed the girl who said nothing into the property grounds (which are lovely). There were large picnic tables and we all sat down after the girl went inside and disappeared. There are other classes going on, so another group was finishing up cooking their pizza. We all sat at a table for about 15 minutes waiting and no one from the company was around. It seems the pizza chef (a different woman) was preparing the pizza stations for us, and the girl who was driving was now preparing to start the pasta station for the other group. During this idle time, there should be someone talking to us, interacting with us, giving us a little history of the business, Rome/Italy food history, just someone engaging with us getting us excited for this class.
When it was our turn to make the pizza, we were called into the room and the chef was lovely. She explained the dough making process in detail, and we were provided with the already made dough (it takes 23 hours to ferment so you dont actually get to make the dough). We then made our pizzas, 1 per person, and put it in the pizza oven. Once you made the pizza, you sat down to eat, (only water and wine included, all other drinks you have to pay) and then you were again sitting around for another 30 minutes until you are called to make the pasta. Repeat process with pasta making and then sitting around for another 30 minutes until already made dessert and limoncello are brought on a tray and left on the table.
The actual 45 minutes total in which you are essentially decorating a pizza, and then hand making pasta was great. The women teaching were entertaining and helpful. But other than that, you are not putting together the sauces, the dishes, the dough, you are not making the dessert. You are really topping a pizza, and then making pasta dough. The remainder of the time you are sitting around waiting and then they bring out the final dishes, leave them on a table and you eat.
Having done FIVE cooking classes in Italy, I will tell you this is not the one. First of all, i thought it was great you can have pizza and pasta-- that is why I picked this one, it is my family's first time in Italy, so i thought hey lets make both... it is way too much food. Choose a smaller class, in Rome, that offers you to make a full meal rather than pieces of a bunch of things, and is going to provide you with history, laugher, and entertainment throughout the class. (If you go to my page you can see reviews of others I have done that are worth it).
And finally, after cooking classes you are always sent recipes via email or whatsapp for what you made, and sometimes for a few extra recipes. This class did not send anything, and when I inquired by email, I was told to ask someone on whatsapp.

Is the location wheelchair accessible? My sister will be with us and is in a wheelchair. We can get her up a few stairs and such, but if there is a lift that is great. Just need to confirm it isn’t up a huge flight of stairs. Thank you in advance.
