Fantastic to go see good views and exercise (walk, run or bike). From above you can see Valdebernardo, Rivas Vacia-Madrid, Santa Eugenia, Vallecas, different buildings in Central Madrid...
Access is via Avenida de las Comunidades, passing Faunia and the Valdebernardo Forest Park, until the end of the street and when you reach the roundabout, on the left begins the Avenida de la Gran Vía del Este, do not take it, continue straight along a disabled piece of road that ends in a wall and begins the field. It passes over the train tracks (the Renfe line that goes to the Corredor del Henares) and there is no loss.
The road is quite rough due to the effects of the rains. It can be worn with any type of sports shoes without a problem. On the way to the Hill, on the right you pass through a fantastic pine forest. You can access it without any problem, the pine forest path is wonderful and very well maintained, it is small so you can take advantage of it. At the end of said pine forest there is a blue bridge that overlooks a school and sports facilities. You access Santa Eugenia.
You can also visit the pine forest and Cerro Almodóvar and you can also walk the Valdebernardo Forest Park, which is a 2km circular circuit. It is advisable to do it in spring or autumn but it has not rained. And bring water. At the top of the Hill the air is strong. One side of the Hill overlooks a cement factory. Well, going down that side there are two camping tables but I don't make much sense of the location because there is no shade, the views are in the ugliest part (to the factory, you have to turn around a lot and I saw them very unprotected. So It's not worth it. If there are fountains, they are in the Faunia area and in the Valdebernardo Forest Park, where there are also picnic tables and less wind than in the Cerro.
