This was the most interesting church inside. The stained glass windows are stunning and you don’t get to see them until you walk through.
There are also lots of exhibits and museum pieces of interest that are laid out for you to read about, if you speak Spanish.
Definitely worth a visit.

Park in a large lot across the street and walk up the road which is a pretty steep grade to the entrance of the museum. (I wouldn’t want to push a wheelchair) Five euros to get in and you will be handed a plasticized paper describing highlights of the museum and the sanctuary. The museum focused on archeological finds, agrarian life, and development of the tourist industry. The sanctuary can be enjoyed but not understood- the lecture was only in Spanish. Outside we walked a littl in their forestal park which has an extensive zip line. You can spend as much or as little time as you care to.

It's simply a place to visit if you're nearby. Beautiful view - colourful windows all around the church.

Much more interesting than it appears from the outside. You walk through the museum and end up in the spectacular modern church. It has beautiful stained glass windows 360 degrees.
The museum takes you through how tourism developed in the area, especially interesting if you already know a bit about Mallorca.
There are a large number of objects showing rural life on the island and a collection of curiosities such as old type writers, coins from around the world and archaeological finds. Unfortunately these are not very well labelled - some have hand written labels.
Of interest to adults but probably not very exciting for children and certainly not interactive.
A large free car park (where you could leave your car and walk 5 mins down to the seafront of Arenal), tidy toilets but no cafe facilities at all. Don't expect to get a drink here - rather short-sighted I felt.
You could easily spend 1.5 hours here. Reduction for pensioners and 5 euros for normal entry. Worth the price of the ticket. A good place to go in bad weather.

Excellent church glass windows and small museum. Current opening hours (March 2019) 09.30-14.30 and 15.00-17.00 Mon-Sat.
We visited just before 14.30 and had the place to ourselves, let ourselves out to find 3 tour buses of people waiting to go in!!

Well, not quite anonymous or hidden, but not on many sightseeing lists. Should be.
Located a bit off track, some 15 km from Palma city towards the airport.
Extremely spectacular architecture from the 60-ies. Glowing example of some of the best influences in church architecture from that period.
Oval shaped with a magnificent domed ceiling construction and 39 stained-glass windows depicting mostly the history and deeds of St Franciskus.
The basic construction material is concrete. Very fine acoustics and concerts are sometime arranged.
Entrance is a few EUR and you enter the church by walking through a museum part displaying archeology and ethnology artifacts. Very interesting and pedagogical time line display Mallorcan life from ancient times up to now.
Definitely worth a detour!

Porcincula doesn't seem to be on most peoples 'must see' list, but it should be. Maybe it's because it's outside of Palma and not right on the beaten path that everyohe will see it and know about it.
I loved the museum (and I'm not usually a museum fan). They had a lot of Palma and Mallorca memorabilia including a lonnnnnnnng wall displaying events from 1800 to today. A big plus was the fact their displays were in multiple languages including English.
The cost to enter is 5 Euro and is well worth it. After you meander through the museum you 'finish' in the sanctuary of the church. Even if you're not a 'church' person, you can helped be awed by huge stained glass windows and overall architecture.
As if that weren't enough, the Forestral Park is right across the parking lot. A huge parcel of land consisting of pine trees and open grass spaces. There, you can either participate in, or watch people climb around in the trees on precarious suspension bridges, ride a zip line, etc. It's all sort of an obstacle course to test your skills and challenge your dexterity, fears, and have fun while at it.
Both are good for the entire family. Why not bring a picnic and make a whole day of it?

Walking into the park that surrounds the church is wonderful, and entering the church is breathtaking To get into this church you need to by a ticket for the Church Museum. But thats not a disadvantage. The museum shows items from all times on Mallorca. There is also a very interesting exhibition about the history of tourism on the island. Our visit gave a lot of new knewlege, beside the wonderful feeling in the church.

We had a lovely time wandering around the museum leading the way to the highlight of the iglesia. The colourful stained glass windows break the sunlight beautifully and the spherical shape give sit all a real calm feeling. Very worth a visit.
