Quaint little street full of fresh foods and Boulangerie. Must visit this street when in Paris. Food was amazing.

Great street with cafes, restaurants, chocolate, boulangeries, macrons and more! Visited here for the 2nd time this past January and visited right before Covid hit. This street is super charming!

Rue Cler is a great way to experience the "real Paris" without the stifling crowds. Rue Cler is the most famous "shopping street" in Paris. Locals come here and peruse the many shops and restaurants for groceries, fresh produce, wine and other needed commodities. Come early if you can and you will find a relatively quiet and serene oasis with a lot to offer, whether you are a local or a tourist. Make the Rue Cler experience a part of your Paris itinerary and you will not be disappointed!

Rue Cler is very close to the Eiffel tower - in fact I am not sure where Rue Cler ends and the Eiffel Tower district begins. My daughter and I went In April. Though the weather was fairly rainy and cold, it was just beautiful, The main road was quiet and extremely quaint. I felt safe at all times. There is a beautiful florist and a toy store we enjoyed. We also enjoyed several of the restaurants. There is also a grocery store that had everything we needed and was reasonably priced. Very glad that we chose a hotel in that area.

This is one of the most famous market streets in Paris and it was on my to do list.
There are many cafés, boulangeries and specialty shops and you will see many Parisians go for daily shopping and toursits wandering the street.
Its located in the 7th Arrondissement on the Left Bank and in one of Paris’ most exclusive neighborhoods.
We walked from the Eiffel Tower which was not fara way but,Champs de Mars, Hotel des Invalides and the Seine River are also close.

One of the prettiest streets in Paris, this rue has no cars and lined with all different shops. We walked through on a Sunday and nearly every shop was open and packed. You can shop for trinkets, pick up sweets or baked goods or just grab a bite. It is also conveniently located near the Champ du Mars.

Some say it is too touristy, but we loved our walk down Rue Cler. We went the first afternoon after arriving in Paris and bought several things from several stores to have a picnic in the Champs de Mar with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It fit perfectly in our walk after Trocadero to view the Tower. I won't make a special trip across town but if you need something to eat while in the area, it is lovely.

A beautiful street full of lovely food shops small fruit markets and beautiful coffee shops. Very nice atmosphere.

This was a great market that is a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower. We enjoyed the restaurants, fruit, flowers. Come here for a enjoyable walk down a fresh market that Rick Steves recommends.

We got there mid morning g around 10. Street was quiet and charming . I had seen Rick Steves guided tour in this and that prompted our visit.
Ate the most delicious pastries we’ve had in Paris thus far . Enjoyed the chocolate shop and buying some wine as well as a leisurely walk.

Can anyone give me the name/contact info for the little jewelry store on Rue Cler? We visited there after Christmas and my daughter found some earrings she loved. Instead of buying them then, I thought I'd go back and surprise her and of course they were closed. Thank you for any info you can provide.

No,everything is open, the grocery stores offer pretty good selection of wine, Grad Prix had Chateaux Lalibarde, good price and excellent wine. We stayed at some friends house, thank good for that.

If you are staying more than a few days consider Airbnb, Homeaway, etc. and get a great apartment. Less expensive than a hotel room and much more comfortable. That is what we always do in Paris.

Hi we stayed at the Hotel Cler....rooms are modern in an ancient building....Beds very comfy, shower great! Staff Wonderful! Insiders tip: If you are going to be using the Metro Monday (start) you can get a ticket for Euro 22 at the train station. It's good for an entire week---including a bus to Charles De Gaulle Airport Just buy a couple of day passes if you are arriving on Sat or Sun. The hotel will scan your passport for you and make a small picture of you for the pass. Hotel Cler did it free of charge. Then you just scan and go....amazing bargain! HAve a wonderful time

There are shops and cafes all along the street. They display merchandise outside and inside. There are meat shops, cheese shops, bakeries etc.

We are staying a couple of blocks off Rue Cler in a private apartment. We want to stock the kitchen with a few items. Would you suggest that as a non-French speaking shopper, we hire a private guide to walk us through the market to help us with the vendors or would we be good on our own?

You will be just fine in that area shopping and speaking to the merchants in English. I would be sure to learn just a few words of French like Hello (Bonjour), thank you (merci), etc. I’ve always found that when they see you trying to speak a few words of their language and then ask if they speak English the French people are very receptive.
