Went for a friend's birthday, run from St malo to dinard, whilst it was an enjoyable run it could do with better signage, got lost a couple of times, found some signs but they were not really obvious or frequent enough....

This is a beautifully historic city surrounded by ramparts. They say it was a pirate base for pillaging and plundering. Now it's a busy, bustling village. Great walk in the forest, seaside, nice beaches

Historic walk in unique surroundings.

You can walk the whole perimeter of the "Intra-muros" Saint Malo town, without coming down off the ramparts.
It's not to be missed if you're visiting this beautiful town.

It’s a walk along the coast

Nice walk along the coast with plenty of good views. Not much you can say really, could be a little better marked out and signposted. Otherwise, a coastal walk with nice views!

Wonderful hike

Follow the markers for a great walk

I got a map of this trail from our hotel and admittedly didn't read it thoroughly because for more than half the walk from Saint Malo to Dinard we were following the trail map and wondering what the blazes on various posts, trees and on the road were to signify. Duh! The trail couldn't be more clearly marked!!! If only we read the print at the bottom of the map. It seems most of the talk of this trail is to Cancale but we walked from St Malo to Dinard through Saint Séverin and got to see some lovely views of the bay and the cities in all directions. The walk passes the 39-45 memorial which is worth a stop as well. The map states the walk takes about 3-3 1/2 hours...ya without stopping for photos, it took us 5 hours with a moderate amount of photos and a 15 min stop at the 39/45 memorial. This walk is not difficult it is mostly flat but it is a long walk. My daughter was anxious to return for beach time so we had lunch in Dinard and took the shuttle back to Saint Malo. We did not walk along the beach and around the point in Dinard where I think many of the mansions were, I would have liked to do that .

Very pretty place to visit

What a lovely place to go to,we had a long weekend but wished we were there longer,lots to see,people very nice will go again

A nice walk around the coast

It is a good way to explore the smaller and less visited parts of the coast line. Walking the shore and cliffs as always can be difficult so be prepared with good footware and expect some steep ups and downs on rugged paths.

A very picturesque walk from Cancale to Port Mer

Set off expecting a 5km walk but following the coastal path was further & we were walking a little while waiting for port Mer to appear which was a couple of inlets further on!
So very picturesque & we can a clear blue sky day, really gorgeous & sneaky glimpses across to mont st Michael.
I would 100% recommend as so very pretty.
It is up & down around the bay's with rocks sticking out the path but it is a well trodden path.
Do it!!
