I read the reviews that this was the best joy chocolate ever. Well no, I can honestly tell you it’s NOT the best hot chocolate ever! For a chocolate shop, it was very milky and the chocolate was not very strong. They offer ‘an extra shot’ or chocolate. But when I asked ‘is the extra shot needed’ the lady suggested that it is chocolatey enough. Well….it’s not…it’s very weak.
Also, the premises has moved so whilst we were hoping to have a warm drink inside, they now only cater for takeaway. There’s one table outside but it was raining so that was a no go.

Visited here after been told it was the best hot chocolate ever and we were not let down absolutely delicious. Staff really friendly and chocolate fab will definitely be back when in Westport again

Arrived here after leaving another premises close by where Covid guidelines were ignored. At Marlene's however things were as they should be.
We enjoyed excellent Lattes and scones while feeling very safe and comfortable in this well managed premises.
Its comforting at this time to see, not only tables and chairs, but other item like door handles, being systematically cleaned and sanitised. Well done Marlene's.
The chocolates on sale here were absolutely divine.
Marlene's is a bit hidden away but well worth finding

I love visiting here and it's a place I always visit when in Westport. The staff are so friendly, kind and I've always been welcomed with a warm smile and a hello. You can smell the amazing chocolates when walking past outside not to mention the smell inside, divine! They have a lovely selection of homemade cakes and scones too. They also have a lovely selection of ice creams too. I highly recommend visiting this place when in Westport, I can't wait for a return visit already!

We went for coffee and homemade chocolate. The best hot chocolate ever & chocolate was fab, so reasonable in price & service was excellent. Such a hidden gem to have in Westport

This is a lovely place that I located in Westport.
This shop is really more about coffee and cakes, and of course chocolate.
Lovely selection.
Coffee delicious.
It was a lovely place to visit and relax for a while.
The Staff were so nice.
Just one thing I couldn't believe that there is a table located beside the door entering the toilets.

This place IS a real haven - peaceful and yummy and a lovely place to just sit and relax and enjoy. We come here all the time while spending our holidays close to Westport once (or more) a year. We especially like the hot (milk or dark) chocolate and the ice cream....

Stopped off here for coffee and cake during our stay in Westport. Coffee is not amazing (tastes like instant or filter?) however the cakes were delicious. Had a slice of chocolate cake and raspberry sponge and both were fabulous. Chocolate treats went down well with the kids. With a little more effort on the coffee I think this could be a standout cafe but in saying that I think they are more about the cakes and chocolates so I understand why. Enjoyed our experience.

A little off the beaten track but worth finding it. Lovely chocolate coffee and cheerful atmosphere. Chocolate reasonably priced too.

Really enjoyable experience :) Coffee was very good and chocolates made on site in super cute molds. Very pleasant athmosphere.
