Our party of 4 took the day tour in a very cold January
Wasn't sure what to expect but our guide for the day Oliver made sure we saw as much of the stunning scenery and wildlife as he possibly could !!!
There were many highlights but can't help but mention
The close up of the Long tailed Duck and Red Deer Stag were special. Oliver took us to as many different sites as time allowed and his local knowledge was excellent . Too much wildlife to mention and tea and coffee as well !!!
Will be back again hopefully see Dolphins and Eagles in the Summer.
Many thanks Oliver for making the day a success .

We participated in two events, a day out, and an evening wildlife watch. Both are highly recommended and we have nothing but praise for our guides for each event.
The day out was booked as "Our Cairngorms National Park" which normally would take us into the mountains to see wildlife there but given the high level of snowfall just before our day out, our guides decided on more of a birding adventure on the Black Isle. We are not "birders" so having guides who are able to identify birds at a distance and describe various characteristics was invaluable. We saw a great variety of birds in their natural environment at different stops around the Black Isle. The guides had a powerful spotting scope that made for excellent views of birds even several hundred yards away but bring your own binoculars and a camera with a good telephoto lens if possible. Our guides Ailie and Wayne were very gracious and accommodating, and were extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife we were seeing.
The evening watch was just as fascinating. By watching from a n enclosed "hide" just a few feet from the mammals, we were able to observe their behavior in a relaxed atmosphere. The Eurasian Badger and the elusive Pine Marten both made an appearance, along with a wood mouse. Our guide Harris was full of knowledge of the mammals we saw as well as birds and animals in Scotland and elsewhere. There can be periods of waiting but Harris was easy and interesting to talk to so the time went very quickly.

A fantastic visit to The Hide in The Cairngorms with Harris our host on 20 December 2022 with my partner and 2 children age 8 and 11. Once Harris our host has spread out nuts and raisins we did not have to wait long before we were rewarded with 3 badgers. Also the treat of a Doormouse. Just as we were leaving a female pine Marten turned up, to say we were overjoyed would be putting it mildly. Harris was very informative and friendly which we appreciated. A fantastic visit, absolutely recommend for wildlife lovers.

We were delighted to spend an October evening in the hide with our guide, Harris, getting to see 8 badgers and both a female and male pine marten. What a thrill! The hide is so well situated to observe without disturbing these fabulous creatures. And there wasn't a question we could ask that our guide either couldn't answer or find the answer quickly. Have recommended to multiple people already!

Spent the evening with Wayne in the mammal hide it was amazing. What a fabulous facility We were fortunate to see 7 badgers and a pine marten. Wayne’s experience was superb and we learned so much. We can highly recommend this and we will be coming back and also booking a guided day. Great company.

We had a wonderful time at your wildlife hide this week! A very knowledgeable guide helped make this an event to remember.
We saw 10 badgers on our visit which was amazing as ive never seen a badger before! Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see a Pine Martin but would definitely like to come back again at some point, and hopefully get the chance to see one then.
In all, it was a lovely experience and I would highly recommend it to others :)

What a fantastic experience we had watching a family of 10 badgers in your evening nature hide at Inchriach with knowledgeable guide Harris happily answering questions, we watched them eat and play together, then we saw a couple of them groom each other before they disappeared back into the night.

8 Badgers behaving naturally and able to share an hour of their life was a unique and exciting experience.
Out guide, Harris, has such an enthusiasm and a well of knowledge of the animals.
You could tell that the animals welfare was as high on his agenda as ensuraning that all the guests had a great experience.

A thorough evenings entertainment . As soon as we arrived , there were badgers shuffling around the hide. In total , we saw 8 , at close quarters.
After about an hour a pine marten arrived & stated long enough for photographs.
There was them a long lull & just when we were about to leave, believing the action to be over, another pine marten arrived.
The second one stayed for over half an hour & it was fabulous to be able to take photos & observe it’s behaviour a mere couple of metres away

What a fantastic evening. Harris was really knowledgeable and very informative. His passion for wildlife really came through and he made the evening extra special. Seeing the Pine Martins made our week.

Hello, apologies for the delayed reply. Yes, you can drive up to the hide rather than walk if this is organised prior to arrival, there is then a very short distance to walk up to the hide

Hello Lorne G, thank you for your question and a Standard Guided Day Out is £250.00 (£195 if booked online) – 9am to 5pm. An Extended Day is £295.00 (£250 if booked online) – max 10 hours – actual time to be agreed between you and your guide.(either day out includes transport for you and up to 6 companions) full details can be found on our website

There's animals all year round but apparently late June is especially good as there are many youngsters
