Such a cute little bar. Staff are delightful and polite. Cocktails taste so good - Loads Lug has so much flavour yet looks so basic. Such a romantic little place.

Sofie was amazing and hysterical. Cocktails were deliciously boozy. My last cocktail, Argyll Rising tasted like walking into a hug. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

This review only has 3 stars because i am actually still sitting at the bar and i don't want to 5 star prematurely just in case Sofie isn't as amazing as i am being led to believe after only 2 drinks. My first drink had a face. Update to follow.

Found this little haven on our stroll home, lovely little basement cocktail bar we sampled a couple. The service was very good cocktails are very rustic which was lovely. Will pop back next Time I return

Absolutely brilliant first visit to Nightcap.
We made a reservation and got there just as they opened, so had our pick of tables. We were offered a HEATED TABLE! I shouldn’t really be sharing this, as I’ll always want it when I go, but it’s a big slab/worktop with underfloor heating in it (I think that’s what they said). It was totally awesome as I’m always cold.
Vesper Martini was super. Husband had a couple of Who Caught Coopers. It was also rather refreshing not to be completely bamboozled with tens of different brands of spirits. But the bonus was they had Cocchi vermouth!
Both guys behind the bar was very welcoming and provided excellent and friendly service. They also gave us a free glass of fizz when we mentioned it was our wedding anniversary.
They coped with my husband’s mad sense of humour admirably and both clearly love their job.
Definitely going back. Try it – you won’t be disappointed.

Loved the venue and the drinks but unfortunately there was a strong smell

Amazing service, the two lads serving couldn’t have been friendlier even when they were serving other customers. I would’ve never stopped by here unless my friend said to but I’m very happy I did!!! 10/10 would recommend

I'm penning this review with a heavy heart after a disappointing visit to a local cocktail bar. The experience was markedly below par, leaving a sour taste in every sense of the term.
Immediately upon entering, I was struck by the unapologetic lack of space. The interior was painfully cramped, with hardly room to move freely. The limited space, compounded by poorly arranged furniture, made navigating the bar a real challenge.
The seating situation was no better. Our allocated seats were noticeably stained and worn, hinting at a significant lack of care in upkeep. This, quite naturally, raised questions about the hygiene standards of the bar and added a layer of discomfort to our visit.
The choice of decor did little to alleviate the underwhelming first impression. Dark paint was used liberally, seemingly less as a stylistic choice and more as a tactic to obscure the visible wear and tear of the establishment.
However, the most bitter pill to swallow were the cocktails themselves. With prices that soared far above reasonable expectations, one would anticipate a drink that delighted the senses. Yet, that was far from what we experienced.
The cocktails we received were alarmingly sour, an unpleasant twist that did not align with the flavors we had ordered. It was evident that the premium price tag was not reflective of the quality or taste of the cocktails served.
I feel obliged to advise potential travellers to think twice before deciding to spend their valuable time and hard-earned money at this establishment. The overpriced and distasteful cocktails, the claustrophobic space, the disappointing seating, and the deceptive decor collectively turned a night that should have been enjoyable into an experience best avoided.
